I dont plan on using Vista because most of my games are not supported on vista so i dont plan on changing to vista soon...

Maple could probably work because they keep patching it, try there site and see if they say anything about vista.

I don't think so. They don't really care if your system can't run it they have a large enough base and little reason to develop parallel ports for different OS and such.
