UK, April 25, 2007 - Activision has confirmed that the both upcoming DS versions of the new Transformers game will feature a Wi-Fi multiplayer mode, where players take part in a global battle between Decepticons and Autobots.

Transformers DS comes in two different flavours - Autobots and Decepticons - and features an online mode called the AllSpark Wars where, depending on the version you own, you can either destroy or save the galaxy. The Wi-Fi conflict takes place via daily challenge missions and global player stat comparisons.

Meanwhile, the single-player mode features 20 unique story missions and more than 20 challenge missions, spread across locations including Casino Town and the Hoover Dam. By completing each mission, you can customise the stats of your chosen Transformer and give them new attributes or paint jobs.

Transformers: Autobots and Transformers: Decepticons are both set to hit DS on July 20. Now that sounds like a reason to buy it on the DS for me, This will be a must game to buy when it comes out.
