I have a PS3, but I don't usually play online with other people I'm too busy online and other stuff, sorry. lol. I got mine on release. I for one love it, and all the media isn't really fair, but they need something to bash on apparently, truthfully, with all the stuff you get WITH the PS3 599 version, the Xbox 360 isn't any cheaper after you've bought the stuff for it that you get with the PS3... just saying, lol. But I'm a sony fan, and since I'll never own an Xbox unless someone gives it to me for free, if the games are coming out for PS3 doesn't matter if it comes out on others, I have my next gen system, its not like no one has a PS3, they were sold out for the first month of it release, they're not as hard to find now, but thats not the point, its still a good machine, I'm happy I got mine.

DMC4, RE5, FF13, FFVS13, FFVIIremake, and a lot of other games coming for the PS3 I'm looking forward too, give the PS3 a good year and it'll have more and better games. people are comparing its library to the Xbox360s, but they forget its been out over a year, the PS3 has only a few months under its belt, lol.

sony is infamous for getting first, second, third party game support. I f they don't then they will pull some sort of bullshit with the rest of their media empire. Microsoft and sony have the luxery of not having to rely soley on their game consoles.

The PS2 had a year on the Xbox, and people were saying the same thing - buy a PS2, it has a larger selection of games. Doesn't matter how long each has been out. Xbox 360 will always have a larger selection because of that year ahead that it has.

Sony and microsoft are now forced to pay game manufactures for the right to have sole distribution of a game title like DMC or let the the game become multi-platform. Sony was forced into this and now a lot of people have other options as far as some of the exclusive titles. Imagine Halo on Wii or Playstation. Mario bros on PSP's. FF on everything

The whole thing is that the only edge PS3 has on X360 is blu-ray, and even that may not be necessarily worth the extra hundreds. DMC4 is multi-platform. RE5 will be multiplatform. FF isn't nearly as popular as it once was. FFVII is unlikely in the near future. PS3 needs something GREAT and it needs it SOON, These first year will most likely determine its success. Just like the PS2 got that head start on Gamecube and Xbox, this may be the same situation. But hell, maybe X360 will be another Dreamcast... of which i highly doubt.

X360 isn't better in terms of specs necesarily, but perhaps better in terms of value. Truth be told, Halo 3 will probably murder the PS3. Wii will have Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Sony will have...?

Microsoft OWNS Bungie and Halo. Nintendo OWNS Mario. These aren't second or third party developers, so unless Microsoft/Nitnendo sells the respective companies, they will stay on the system.

I've been keeping in really close with the development, and I don't the ONLY problem Halo 3 will have is meeting the perfectionist expectations that the whole world has set on the game. But from what I've seen, they're keeping the same style of gameplay (if its not broke, don't fix it) and adding upon it. The graphics already look great, and they're still being worked on; the new additions are pwnage. I'm pretty sure it'll be the next blockbuster. GoW + Halo 3 = ownage.

More like Nintendo abondoned the CD idea. Sony didn't give up, and thus, they succeeded.

And Metal Gear isn't Sony-exclusive anymore either. Although, it does always come out on Sony first, and Metal Gear easily has the best storyline i have ever seen in a videogame. Shiiiiit, i can't wait for it.

Games to this day are not exclusive, unless they are branded by either Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo. I have seen other third party exclusives go to other systems just to get money. Viewtiful Joe 1 & 2 were for the GameCube, then Capcom decided they needed more money. God Of War is Sony-branded, so it can't go anywhere.
This all depends on how the company sees the cash flow on a particular system. I have almost all the major consoles except for PS3 and Wii. I can't say that PS3 sucks because i will eventually own one later on. I will probably get Wii first because it is so innovative. 360 came out a year ago and the library is still smaller than the PS2.
