Starcraft 2

Everyone probably knows this by now but Blizzard has announced Starcraft 2. The game looks sweet and they show off a number of new Protoss units. There is one interesting pic that looks like a Zerg and Protoss mix, if anyone ever played Brood War to the end would know that Zeretul(can’t spell his name) found that they were performing some experiment with Zerg and Protoss, similar to what they did with Humans and Zerg.

My friends and I still play Starcraft over network and the game has been out since 1995 lol glad to hear they are finally continuing the story.

I've seen my friend play it, and I'm pretty sure Hellspire is into it, but... I never really was a big Starcraft guy.. more Diablo 2 and Warcraft 3 for me.

The graphics don't look as awesome as I'd expect.. C&C3: Tiberium Wars has some amazing visuals and SC2 isn't coming close (yet).

Starcraft is and old game so the visuals will look dated but the various strategies u can develop is excellent.

I was disappointed with C&C3 TW, even though C&c was the first RTS i played, because once my opponent had more high level units than i had it was difficult for me to over come him.

While in starcraft if u rush a guy with 12 carriers alone victory is not guaranteed since a few ghosts or 2 High Templars can swing the game in your favor and there are many more options. It is all about skill

This game may be some time away because Blizzard will never make one race more powerful than the other.

I'd reckon it would be the same game, but with 3D graphics and some new units. After all, who can beat the perfection that is Starcraft?? ;)

...well, except its creator, maaybe...

On another note, can't wait for Diablo's turn: DIABLO III!!

Starcraft owns its the same thing as with battle cruisers if a terran guy hase 14 ish almost everything gets pwned by them unless u have templar which fuk them up :p or in case of zerg you get defiler and dark swarm fo ryour hydras:)


hmm the game does look better i like te fact they didnt really change the look fo the game but visually they have improved

nukes nerfed? nukes in the old version only did 750 ish took 2 to destroy most buildings:p but fed all units:p

ah the high templar man i hated that unit every time i rolled into a guy's base with 12 carriers zapppp high templar took me out
Do u know how painful it is to lose 12 carriers ???

Starcraft always had a nice mix there was always some unit to counter another

then ur n00b to not move them out of the pisonic storm
but i hated most when the carriers get bugged like the interceptors wont come out to fight
its annoyin how it costs 35 per ceptor and it dies so quick

lol 'n00b' i was but i don't rush with carriers alone. I would use DTs or recall some units into their base then send in the carriers.

The beauty about carriers is that in multi player if the opponent doesn't take notice of them early, hence use other units to distract the opponent, their base defense would focus on the interceptor instead of the carrier.

I think this gives the carriers an advantage over BC in multiplayer but then again BC have the charge shot

Starcraft 2 is going to be awesome!
As long as the gameplay is nice, i dont care about the graphics. Look at StarCraft 1, it didnt have great graphics, yet it is still widely played by people all over the world. I just hope they can keep the game in the same calibur as the first.
