PSP Game - apparently the most sold in the PSP market...
The main objective of the game is to finish missions (may not sound very interesting but it fun), The main aim of the game is to only do each mission once, but repeating certain quests is usually necessary for the upgrading of weapons or armour. So there a need to go to different areas to kill all sorts of monsters and it also has a survival type of feature where as your player will have a stamina bar
Apparently one of the top PSP games, as said experience online will vary.
In this game MHF2 has introduced 4 new types of weapon; The Long Sword/Tachi, Gunlance, Hunting Horn, Bow
Although many items, weapons and armor are purchasable in the game, the heart of the gameplay in the Monster Hunter series is the integrated creation system for creating items from all of the things you can forage for and carved off of fallen monsters. Also, more advanced weapons and armor can be created via the merchants in town from these materials. Freedom 2 has 50% more content overall from its predecessor
There is a farm near the player's house that can be used to gain valuable items after the completion of each quest. The farm is made up of several item collection points similar to what players find in the wilds while on a quest. These include areas to mine, fish, gather mushrooms, catch bugs, and a point where players can plant different seeds to raise herbs. Tools are not needed to use these collection spots with the exception of herb planting, which requires seeds, and may be made more bountiful with the use of dung. Most areas of the farm have a Feline character to explain the workings of that collection point.
When first starting, the player is limited in the amount of items they can collect. However, by spending "Pokke Points", which are gained by gathering unique items in the wilds, the player can upgrade each part of the farm. Upgrades include additional crop rows to plant seeds, upgraded fishing equipment, larger mining, gathering, and bug catching areas, as well as hiring an additional Feline that can be sent out to the different wilderness areas in search of valuable treasure. To use the adventuring feline, the player must "sponsor" the trip by contributing 200 or more Pokke Points.
Also on the farm is a storage chest for the player to deposit items in, and an Ox-like creature that occasionally yields dung to the player when gathering is attempted near it.
