Another Chinese Movie

another good Andy Lau movie
http://www.mxmovies.com/Battle%20Of%20Wits.jpg
A Battle of Wits
Story Plot:
A Clan named the Mozi tribe are a clan of strategists that protect cities from being taken over... basically like generals mercenaries.
one city is under the threat of being taken over
one man comes in their aid and changes one city to a fortress .... farmers become soldiers
there are alot of sweet tactics that are used to defend the city...

if you want a dumb pointless fighting movie
-Dragon Tiger Gate
(personally thought it was lame but had a few good actions scenes)

another Chinese movie would be Protege
(yes another Andy Lau)
http://www.velverse.com/img/2007/february/mov_protege_intro.jpg
Story plot:
Officer Nick (Daniel Wu) had spent the last seven years penetrating into the core of a drug ring working his way up from a street dealer post to the managerial position handling cargo deliveries for Jong (Andy Lau) - the biggest player in the local heroin market. When the ailing Jong makes Nick his protégé, Nick could not but sway before money and power and starts to perform his role like a real drug trafficker. This, together with his affair with heroin-addict Jane (Zhang Jingchu), causes Nick to becomes more and more confused about his true identity, and eventually leads to a disastrous end.

i would suggest these movies:
Japan: Ichi the killer, Gozu, Seven Samurai (1950's movie, but very good), Yojimbo, Shinobi: heart under blade, and Throne of Blood
China: Versus, any Bruce Lee movie,
France: Samourai (more funny than action IMO), Taxi (all three movies are worth it), Cyrano de Bergerac (the one with Gerard Depardieu). There's this one movie i saw ages ago with Monica Bellucci, but I can't remember the name of it. it was good though.
