March 19, 2008 - It was only a matter of time before The X-Men and Wolverine returned to animated television, and with an Iron Man movie coming to theaters, a series based on the character is now fait accompli as well. Enter the Nicktoons Network, who is bringing the marvel properties to the air in two new series, Wolverine and the X-Men and Iron Man: The Animated Series.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, both shows have a series commitment of 26 episodes, set to debut in the first quarter of 2009. Each show will consist of half hour episodes. No comment yet from the other X-Men about the clear preference given to Wolverine in the title. Yay a new X-men cartoon, I just hope it is not like X-men:Evolution. I would like it to be more like the 90's X-men cartoon, that was way better then Evolution was.
