doom 64 for mac?

great question....what about a gaming for mac section period....save the mac rants also...this is a PC biased site...we have macs...deal with it...don't say "you should get computer X" or "too bad you don't have x"....just help

it appears as though none of the doom games are available for mac. (which in itself doesn't make sense as the first two dooms are freeware. i'm pretty sure doom 64 is as well)


it also appears as though the mac gaming selection is so horrible and pathetic that even amazon has nothing enjoyable to offer.

goddamnit. i'm getting a pc. microsoft may make a shitty operating system, but at least they made up for it by implementing an expansive gaming selection.

it's like:
MAC CEO: "let's invent this amazing computer capable of doing whatever the fuck we want... then let's NOT let any software or gaming companies sign with us so that the computer has no function or purpose"
MAC CEO'S PERSONAL ASSISTANT: "now that's thinking outside the box!"

Unfortunetly i doubt you can play it online unless you have a xbox360, they have the origional doom with multiplayer. so getting it on mac is useless multiplayer wise(at least from what i can tell) but i still manage to have my doom fun with that Doom Legacy site you put up. its nice since you can download the complete games and as long as they are in the same folder they let you play them.
as for servers, you would have to have your own connected to the internet with the proper program installed to run doom on it. if you wanted your own, otherwise its possible they just dont like macs, or not enough hardcore doom players play it enough, or with that software, much less on macs like you and me.
