What are they?
Some may think you are a noob from not understanding torrents. Others will expect you to understand all l33t terminology. I personally can read l33t and understand enough of it, but neither do I use it (more than 3% of the time) nor do I have any of it really memorized.
Now, what defines the average user, secondly what would define their problems?
I personally believe someone that involves themselves with a field they knows nothing about yet demands the same respect or acknowledgment as their peers. Or, someone who asks simple questions without ever trying for themselves, more so to people who don't even fucking know them. This would be the noob, but does that make them an average users? I think it would most likely depend on the individual, and how savvy they are/aren't.
What would their problems be caused from? Most likely in concurrence with the above, some people refuse to look for answers themselves, and completely disregard all that a computer is. I believe more extensive classes should be required (you can't drive without "knowing how" >_<), not just 'keyboarding". Typing isn't the issue for most cases, it's knowing how to use the computer, if you can't do that then.. These would be the people thinking their computer is 'insufficient', broken, or they look for answers in everywhere but the right place.
-Side note, You'd think some if not most computer would have some sort of manual...no. They don't actually. In actuality, you get a pikchure sheet oh what the buzzers and whistles are. There sometimes may be a booklet, that merely explains how to turn it on, and how to reset the computer. Maybe there should be a full tutorial that's mandatory before starting the computer. There should DEFINITELY be a Windows Dictionary on every beginners computer, so they know what to do and not to do.
Now back on topic, classes should be mandatory, maybe they should even freely be offered.
In semi-restrospect, How does this affect the internet community? Think, if there are ( and there ARE! ) more noobs or average users than savvy users, maybe not technology, and maybe not production slows. Surely something is affected by this dumbing process, it is easily shown where the noobs are. Youtube is one. Another type are those that use the computer for Myspace, and Myspace only. Seriously, the internet has now become the replacement for something as simple as a phone "Hello DEE DEE" "Oh Hay NAY NAY" Is not plausible in today's society.
Instead you will see a myriad of "I r u luvr" and "h8 m3 N G1t sh0t" Really, what is this? I ask what has become of todays people. I'm not talking about only the foolish adolescents, no. People that would work for or with you use this...yet still imagine themselves a....I'll end that portion of the rant.
So, lets skip the pleasantries. There are plenty of issues with people having computer problems. Lest they resolve from actually reading and quandering through ONES OWN MEANS. However, there are plenty of people that refuse or are neglected such priveleges. It's safe to say that lack of training and understanding lead to the mass problems found into the internet community, mixed with plenty other aspects of computers in general.
