I used to use dl'ed brushes, and i had one that look almost, if not exactly like that pixie dust(together with that star)

dude, i took it out of a picture of space. i found a picture of space on google, cut out what i watned, took the magic want to some stuff, desaturated, and made it a brush lol. those are all stars.

like I said before on the original challenge that I was going to change the font of it and add some more effect but Jester had already posted the voting 6 minutes before I could say anything but it's all good even though it's going to end up my 3rd loss.

Jester if you want to get tech. about it then you ripped (ie taking something that someone else used to do a graphic)

i jus dont understand how taking a picture from the hubble telescope and making it a brush is ripping lol

to me, ripping/dling is dowloading a brush or taking someone's sig/brush and passing it off as your own. not finding a picture taken on the internet and making it a brush.

maybe you didn't get a clear definiation of ripping so here it goes: ripping is defined as using an image, stock, picture, or what ever you would like to call it and you use it as an effect or the full blown background. Now if you were going to use that image as a stock and not an effect it not ripping. Example: say I find an image that I liked and use it as a stock and blend it it's not ripping. Now say if I take the same concept and minipulate that stock for an effect then it's ripping. Now there are exceptions to this and that is downloaded brushes since the user created that for the soul purpose of people using it.

I have spoken to Hellspire about this and we came to a conclusion that the battle will still continue since it's 4-5 and that I will use the definiation above as the new example of what ripping is. If two or more admins or mod agree about the issue then the battle will be restarted and your entry and mine will have to be redone.

n btw, the site where i found the picture at was at a site where i did a report about a year back. i still had it saved in a clipart file. the disclaimer said all pictures and text were free for use

w/e. i was low on time when i was "making" the brush for the battle, and tired. so i decided to take the easy way out. but its a simple nuff effect to make. jsu a cuple of lens flares w/ some filters n other things.

I vote Forsaken, even though the colour is a bit dark. Jesters yours was good but think that it looks like burshes. It looks like a brush called starryy which I used to use.
