My grandma and I went to the Oklahoma Aquarium (http://www.okaquarium.org/) this past weekend. They were doing some remodeling (fixing old exibits and making new ones), but we still had a lot of fun.
My favorite was the stingray tanks. They have two - one for feeding, the other for petting. Yes I know that's mainly for the children, but I like aminals!(:3)
One of the stingrays kept poking it's head(?) above the water and swimming along the edge of the tank. I don't know if it was trying to get out or if it just liked making people squeal as it splashed them.

This is an alligator snapping turtle. The pillar on the left was about 2½-3ft. tall. These turtles are native to Oklahoma (Though I've never seen one this big in the wild).

Jellyfish.

I have some more photos, but they're not very good. If anyone wants to see them anyway, just let me know.

Thanks! I removed the reflections from that picture and set it as my background.

insane ray.
Wanted to kill someone.
How are the reef aquariums and freshwater tanks. Do you have any shots of those? I'm more interested in the tanks which have some semblance of an ecosystem set up with both flora and fauna.

Those also interested in aquariums, Amano is boss:

Well, it was lunch time and the kid looked pretty tasty.
I didn't get any pictures of the enclosures themselves (I was more interested in the flora and fauna), but they had some nice ones.
These were from the Coral Reef tank.

And these are from the Ozark Streams habitat. The otters were swimming too fast, so I couldn't get a decent picture.(sob)

These, along with the alligator snapping turtle from the original post, are from the Fishes of Oklahoma exhibit.

They're building an Amazon exhibit and a Sea Turtle tank. I might have to check them out when they are finished.
