Just what the topic says. This part of the forum is dedicated to everybody expressing who your favorite character is. Mine's Priest Mahaado, followed be Pharaoh Atem. Let's see what you have to say...

Seto Kaiba, ruler of all! I know not everyone thinks this, but that's okay. One day he will rule over all duelists once again! Otherwise, I have to find a new favorite!

I am going with Seto Kaiba, because he is just cool in the show.

Seto Kaiba and Atem - hard to choose between

Dark-Magician
11/15/2004, 04:27 PM
i'd go with atem

LegendGenesis

I second that!

I guess I could say atem. Kaiba gets way too jealous.

LegendGenesis

That's only American Kaiba, Japanese Kaiba is way cooler.

KaibaBoy
11/15/2004, 08:39 PM
No kidding. His voice is so much cooler and he seems tougher for some reason.

Karen

Hmm hmm, I agree for the most part. In the Japanese version Seto is more dangerously quiet spoken, wherass in the English he yells allot more, though I could say the same for pretty much all the English versions of the characters!. That's okay though!. As a Seto Kaiba fan I'll take the boy any way I can get him!. Heh!. And really, I don't blame him for being jealous of Yugi/Yami. I mean, because of him he's lost his company's good name, his title as number one duelist and King of Games (which he'll probably never be able to get back) and the admiration of his little brother, who seems to be more on Yugi/Yami and the other's side now.

Another character I like who had an interesting voice was the Italian guy, I believe he called himself Signor Geodye something something de Medici, from the first episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! DX. His voice is so funny yet neat. I don't know, just thinkin' about it....

I like Yugi best in the anime. In the manga my top pick would be Joey. I've only ever really seen the dub anime and they are so very different.

Yeah, which version you have seen makes a big difference.

Sadarok
11/27/2004, 09:29 PM
Duke Devlin and Rapheal. Duke for creating an awesome game ( Dice Monsters :D ), and Rapheal for being one of the most understandable bad guys I've seen from any season of the show. And maybe Bakura, either Thief Bakura or regular Bakura. Either one is fine with me

LegendGenesis

Malik with or without Ra?

Dark-Magician
11/28/2004, 12:30 PM
without !

LegendGenesis
11/28/2004, 01:46 PM
Dartz would kill him then. It would be tough to call with Ra.

I'm going to have to go with Seto Kaiba, not because he's so cool (even though he is), but because he's just such a well developed character. I find his psychological issues interesting.

I like the guy I named myself after. He's so powerful and confident. It's like he knows no one can beat him.

Well, I don't think I can pick just one, I have a few.

Isis: She is very pretty and mysterious, I like that. Her Necklace is one of my favorite millenium items. Her personality is a lot like that of mine, caring and concerned for everyone.

Seto: I like him because he's cute (Yes, I have a crush on an anime character, it's not a crime you know) He is also the best at the game. Yuugi always wins because he has the pharoah on his side. In the original version Yami no Yuugi actually admits that Seto is better than him, but because of hatred, he is unable to win.

Jounouchi: The main reason I like him is because my favorite pairing is Seto x Jounouchi ^^;
::clears throat::

Anyway, he is a caring person on the inside with a rough exterior, very interesting character indeed.

i dont like isis >_>

I also like Raphael, because he IS the most understanding villian, and he's not really THAT bad. I was sick of Yugi always winning, so I was really glad when Yugi was beaten.

He is the best bad guy. So messed up but with a reason!

My favourite character is atemu... think he's cool, mysterious, etc... and he's got a nice hair style. :P (stupid reasons, i know, but i can't really define why i like him so much. XD)

Seto's one of my favourite characters, too, mostly because i just love the seto-atemu pairing. ^^ Well, he's a smart, handsome guy, and he's just an interesting character because of his past...

Also I like Varon, he's got an interesting past, too, he looks good (a little like Tai out of digimon, why do I always have to think of these guy and his strange digimon when I see varon's hair style? >.< Varon and a digimon... o.O I should stop think such strange things...).

Raphael? I don't really like Raphael... well, interesting character, too, but he looks a little bit like a wild boar... ^^'''' *sry*

Well... I forgot... Mahado! I love Mahado and black magician, too.

I think Varon looks like Tai too. Its gotta be the hair and the goggles. Isis gets a lot of bashing in Fan fiction that is undeseved, much like Tea.

Hey! How DARE you compare that third-rate duelist to Kaiba with your Sigs of nonsense!

MistyStarlight
12/04/2004, 01:02 AM
Yes poor Joey He can't aford to buy his skills like -others- do. Its a good thing he dosen't need too. That is why I like him ^_^

Dark-Magician
12/04/2004, 01:16 AM
i dont think kaiba is skilled >_>

MistyStarlight

Can't say Kaiba isn't smart though. A little off, but smart comes with crazy-ness.

KaibaBoy
12/04/2004, 12:37 PM
Yeah, everyone's jealous that he's rich, a genious, and one of the best duelists out there, especially Joey. But every good duelist needs a pet! Ha ha ha!

Dark-Magician
12/04/2004, 01:31 PM
he's smart + skilled and he has 3 blue eyes

i dont think he is skilled coz he runs a dragons/beatdown deck

a common deck

KaibaBoy
12/04/2004, 02:48 PM
Oh yeah, sure, because beatdown decks aren't that good, right? Pfft....point proven. Jealousy!

S/J fan comment.

It have to say t is a beatdown deck but its all in how you use it. For inseant I have a okay deck but I can win to save my life -_-

...Okay I'm defening Kaiba

KaibaBoy
12/04/2004, 03:00 PM
My deck can handle any situation since all it does in negate spell and trap cards, then controls your monsters for my own, so that leaves you with nothing. But beatdown decks are extremely tricky when they get really fast. I've faced several, and they were very difficult. But you're right, it IS how you use it!

MistyStarlight
12/04/2004, 03:05 PM
And Joey uses his better. That is why he is a better character than Kaiba. ^_^

KaibaBoy
12/04/2004, 03:15 PM
Joey's deck is like 99% luck. You got like:
Graceful Dice
Skull Dice
Roulette Spider
Gamble
Arduous Decision
Starblaster
Confiscation Mediation?
Time Wizard

Okay, so that's not 99%, but that's still too much. In real life, that deck would NEVER win.

I think(just my personal opinion) that Kaiba is the best duelist. Joey relies mostly on luck and Yugi wouldn't be nearly as good without the pharoah. But like I said, that's just my personal opinion. ^_^

KaibaBoy
12/04/2004, 03:34 PM
My opinion exactly.

MistyStarlight
12/04/2004, 03:45 PM
Joey's deck is a bit of a gamble but its not like he relies completly on luck. He has several kick butt cards and knows how to use them. In real life no I don't think it would work very well. But he is the comic relef-Good guy so he is the luckiest person in the show till Hero motovation is needed.

Yugi though...You really don't see Yugi without the pharoah much so its hard to tell if he is good or not. Then again if you think about he was supose to be really good at all kinds of games before he met the pharoah.

He pretty much does, in every duel he's won (and sometimes even lost) he has used some form of luck based card that gave him an edge that paved the way for his victory. Without his dice cards and the "time wizad" Joey wouldn't be victorious nearly as often.

;) Heh! I agree!. In spite of my dislike for the overly lengthy, repetitive, superficial and waaay over rated Konami card game, I have more respect for "duelists" who use their skills and experience (weather or not they win or lose) over those who just close their eyes, pick a card and hope to God it's a useful one.
