I love Duelists of the Roses!

It's like a Tactics version of Yu-Gi-Oh. Most the cards have different effects
too. It gets a little complicated, but I'e played like hundreds of hours on that
game. And yet I'm still missing 1 more piece of Exodia....the others were a
pain to get...

Me and a friend of mine played it for hours one night when I slept over his house. We dueled that Richard Slysheen guy like, 20 times before we could beat the boss in the first round. I personally like it because of its likeness to an RPG.

Me too. I also love it because there are countless strategies you can make with your deck. I made a Light deck that just keeps juicing up my monsters with Mystical Elves and stuff, then I use Darkness Approaches, put 'em back down and start all over again. The process actually doesn't take that long, and before long they hit the 8000s in attack each easily. But then they get eternally spellbound and then I cry.

Of course you do. But let me warn you, should you choose to play it they will start you with a horrible deck. You'll spend night after night of pointless crying, school-skipping days, and the realization that sleep is no longer needed, much like I did.

If you do, I'll give you the list of codes for some cool cards, that way, you won't have such a hard time in the beginning like I did. Well, probably since you won't be able to put them all in your deck at the start, but I'll explain that when you actually get the game.

No Gods. And Dark Magician doesn't have an effect, but you use him enough times, you can make him your Deck Leader, and if you keep raising, your deck leader will gain abilities like, 200 ATK to all Dark Monsters on your side of the field automatically, etc. But Dark Magician is very handy in this game I'll tell you. But Dark Magician is tricky to get in this game. I've tried and kept failing...

That's the game that comes with the Winged Dragon of Ra, huh? I've seen it before. I think 2 more recently came out for the GBA.

Your deckmaster is basically how you get attacked directly. You can move him once per turn if you want to avoid being attacked. To get a deckmaster, simply use a monster card a lot in battles, and at the end of the battle, that monster's rank may increase. If his rank has gone up at least once, he can become your Deckmaster. If you keep raising him, they eventually gain abilities as deckmasters!

You start with 4000LP, and when a monster moves from his space onto the space that your deckmaster is in, it counts as a direct attack, and like the game, the monsters ATK is deducted from your LP.

I don't have one either, and I thought it was very strange for a game like Yu-Gi-Oh to be on the X-Box. I figured they'd all be on the PS2 and Gamecube.

Yes the monsters are 3D, and the Graphics are great on the game. I love it very much, and would recomend the game to any yugioh fan that has an Xbox.

Roses is like a board game, you move your monsters along a board to try and attack your apponents main monster.Which is also his deck leader when you win, you then have a slot machine to decide what monsters you get. When you get 3 of the same monsters aka Dark Magician you also get a Dark Magician Girl, to me that got boaring after a while of playing it.

Dawn is just like the Card game and the rules are the same, you duel the charecters from the show. You can pick between 2 types of duels, single duel and Triple duel when you win a duel you then pick one of the god statues. You will then get 3 new cards to add to your deck, which sometimes you get good cards to use for the next duel. I would recomend an Xbox and Dawn, but that is because i found that dawn was better then roses anyways.

I found that Roses was better than Dawn since plot is important to me in a game, and Roses had a thought-out plot, but Dawn is just duels.
