This is going for INSANE prices already on ebay! I've seen a few go for $300 but many can go for $800-900 and still people bidding!
Anyone have this? I have a DS, and not a big intention on getting this... Though if they put GTA on it I'll look into it.

I don't think that PSP is even out yet... If it is and the price is that high, then it would be nut'z. Also, I would rather save my money and buy myself something better then some PSP.

From reading a lot of websites, the PSP will come out in march and will be priced between $250-$300. But Sony could change the price from now to the release date, so the price can change.

I think in the stores in Japan they were sold out EVERYWHERE by the end of launch day and were $180 american, which will probably be rounded to $200 in the USA. But the extremely high demand and extremely limited stock is making eBayers to pay NICE NEW LAPTOP prices for a lil' handheld.

My trusty Gamepro says it will be around $200 and it comes out next spring, that's all it says, though.

I don't even own a PS2, but my cousin is giving me her PSX, but I've heard the PS series (PSX, PS1, PS2, PS2redesign) is quite fragile. The PS2 console hardware is designed to last about 2 years, when the PS3 wasn't even planned for release until at LEAST 5 years later, which is now looking at 6-7 years. I don't want a handheld that I'll have to replace 1-2 times before the GBA successor is released.

I have seen a lot of price quotes for the PSP.....most are in the $175-$200 range, but I am sure that it will probably be more for the first 6 months to a year. Then like the PS2 the price will drop to stay competitive.

I'm still wondering if it'll act like the PS2 since the PSP runs on disks, small disks, it'll eventually break or get a DISK READ ERROR thing.
