Best year for video games?

I think it was 1996 since that's when the n64 came out. Nearly everyone loved the n64. The N64 era was very good :)

Nintendo DS is out this year and that is like the N64, but everyone seems to have been drawn into Sony's hypnotic Playstation... O.O I hope everybody realises NDS is way better than PSP (in my opinion it is, anyway)

I would have to say the best year for games was 1998, when Zelda:OOT came out best game of the year.

This year (2004) was fairly good, with Halo2, GTA:SA, Metroid Prime:2, Fable, Paper Mario 2, MGS3:Snake Eater, as well as the DS's release etc.

No the best year for gaming HAD to be 1997 Final Fantasy 7 was released, Metal Gear Solid was released,and a load of others that i probly cant think of.
