View Full Version : Effective Methods

I'm curious as to how we can attract more active members to this site without actually having a site in itself.

I would like to hear some effective methods in dealing with this problem in hopes that it may be eliminated or at least diminished.

Please note. While I leave Riftwarp to the devices of the members out of gestures of faifth, I would strongly recommend a recruiting campaign so that this site may become larger.

I have something in the works for August or September, although I cannot release information concerning that at this time.

Cheers

I had an idea for the: "Most Poster" contest a while ago. I could do that. We could also advertise at websites and forums we go to otherwise.

Hopefully with advertising, the problem will be resolved. Thanks

Yeah... We could ask the members from there, if they want. A few members there were talking to me about how dead it has become over the time. If they will help us out with those members, we can get more. Just pointing out what Comdak is like could help. That sounded bad, the owner is pretty bad, though. Anyway... net-slum is still active, but with some help, we can get the members over here.

Said effective methods do not appear to produce results... unless implemented. So... lets implement.

ive arredy gotten 2 of netslums members that were being punished for no reason at all at netslum. netslum is pretty much dead. tons of pplz, few threads. like 140 pplz, but the most theyve had on is 20 at a time. dont worry, lots of pplz are fed up with comdak, especially becuz he put in an 18+ section that is supposed to be a good idea. there are 2 threads OPPOSING it jus because of what it shows. and those threads have been locked, closed, and thrown in the trash. i think the pplz who started the threads were banned. jus go to netslum n take some members, jus make sure they arnt a suck up member and that they arnt on the mod team.

Will do, I have some buddies who can help. Some of them owe me favors, anyway.

Enter more Topsites, get more affilates so the forums which your affilated with will say to it's members how could of your site is or such?Like make partnerships with our forums, etc get my point? Eh.Maybe not but oh heck.
Affilate with a decent forum, members might check out that site's affilates, look at a site, looks good enough, joins.Simple, right?
Well just do the same ol' thing everyone does, tell everyone you know about and make sure you don't annoy the heck out of them.Make the site better somehow so ppl who look at the site will want to join.
Add the Inferno Battle Hack, more extra features to the forum which will make it interestin' and fun, make a money hack which concerns the battle hack, like you can buy items and use them in the battle arena or something. Not sure if vBulletin has those kinds of features like woltLAB or whatever it's called.
It's not just about advertising, it's also about making the site seem more appealing to the newbs.Add a shout-box :p Yes, seems alot but hey you want a successful forum then get off you lazy butt and do something about, well you are but....OH you get the point. But yeah, make the forum look more appealing to other ppl so they'll join straight away.

InfrenoLab is for IPB i believe.

Affiliates rarely work.

But we will be getting more members soon, since now it is both a gfx and rpg community.

advertise a lot more than what you do. I didn't know of the site till vegarz said he was merging EVO xl with Riftwarp

Eh?I mean I realised your forum was a GFX community. But RPG community? This ain't too much of that, just the RP section has alot of......posts.

no its an RP community. If we were to install a global RPG with no doubt it would succeed.
