I was in a depressive mood and yet still wanted to do some GFX. I guess this is what the result was. Not the best, but I personaly enjoy it.

Work on ure text the text is horrible.... bg are too simple...and the twirls dont help. My choice woul dhave to be ure first one...because it somewhat matches that cool bg everyone is making.

Calm down dude. just small amount of constructive critisism.
Stevil, try adding text effects by double clicking on the text layer, and changing the options. (opacity blending, glowing text, outer shadow etc.
Use good-tutorials.com (I go there everyday to get graphic help, and tutorials on bg's.
Try blending ure characters a lil better.
One of the basic ones u can do is the following.
Duplicate your stock>Gaussian Blur>3.0>Set the layer to screen
Or you could use other thinsg like overlay. depends on your style, and the qualaty of the pic.
Also you could try less filtering and more brushing. Download brushes, and try to use some of those "Extra" lil details such as...
Stars around stocks, CTRL + B Or U, Adding patern effects, Using opacity on some brush layers or try making the characters have less opacity.
There, a lil bit of help guides. Btw cknapp151 i was just metioning the bad things that could use some improvement. I didnt mean for u to get pissed. sorry...

ok, i use to have the same problem stevil, not filling it up. try filter>disort>wave and put the blending on lighten. duplicate the layer each time tho. the reason im telling you this is because loks like you just did gradient a couple times. and plus when you do this you get something like this:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v170/Chaos_Unlimited/lastofitskind.jpg ^ i made that just for you stevil, you should feel speicial.
Stevil
Nov 10th, 2004, 05:19 PM
Heh, thanks. Though, that one's kinda old. I'll take your advice.
Chaos
Nov 10th, 2004, 05:41 PM
it just said that because when you can still see the gradient it looks noobish
and for that style being old here, its not on all the other 20 billion gfx forums out there
Stevil
Nov 10th, 2004, 05:48 PM
Yeah. Ahh well.
Here's one I did with your advice:

ElementFX
Nov 17th, 2004, 08:28 AM
Lose the downloaded ones, they are going to fuck you up like nothing ever has. Trust me, thats why its took me 2 years to get better. I used them the first 5 months I started with PS7 and it just mest every thing up for me.

Stevil
Nov 27th, 2004, 02:48 PM
Well, I made most of my brushes with filters XP
I took the default brush set, filtered them up a bit, then turned them into my own set of brushes. XP
I dont really know how else to make them.

How do you put your name on signiture pictures
Akira Raine
Feb 13th, 2005, 09:49 PM
u don't know how to do that? U just use a paint or photoshop program or something and Type ur name in there. that's the easiest part! But Paint sux!
Stevil
Feb 13th, 2005, 10:27 PM
I used photoshop actually.
First, I made the background, then I added text to it.
Auron-X
Feb 14th, 2005, 05:52 AM
I don't think he as Photoshop or any other Graphic program, so you can use Paint, but it'll only lower the quality of the picture.
Just select the "Type Tool" and then create a box around wherever you want to enter the text and just type whatever you want. And you may edit the size, type, etc with the box that might pop-up.
That's a good sig there Stevil. I like it (I was referrring to the one before). gj, i'll give you a 9 ^^.
