3D Studio Max

Can someone help me learn the basics? For example, if it were cinema 4d you would teach me of matrix extrude, crumple, etc. Photoshop would be of filters, layer styles and the basic tools. So what would be teh the basics for 3d studio max?

thanks. i tried that, but i prefer a person teahces me themselves, those tutorials are hard to understand for a first time user such as myself
