No, this is not a spam topic. I have had different answers from many people so i just wanna know what you believe! Put which you think came first and why.
-I think the chicken came first because that is what i think would have happened because of my religion.

I think that egg came first as it was laid by something else and then developed into a chicken.

The chicken was definitely cientifically there first.
The egg can't be formed without a chicken because it's just impossible. there HAVE to be chiken so there can be an egg.

I think it was like in that tale about duck (or soething (I forgot)). The egg was laid by duck or something and the chicken roll out. =]

Think. Then where did the duck came? Why would the chicken come out from a different place than a duck?
And that's a tale.
Besides that the egg can only be done by the process inside the animals. It can't be done by nature.

Ok.. Better thought the first was bacterium. Then maybe a lot after chicken devloped from something. But when from what and how?

For an explosion.
Chickens and humans and other animals were created in the same misterious way.
We know that is the "Explosion of life" but what scientists can't know is what caused it. Some people beleave that we are experiments from another creatures from somewhere else.

But every lifeform starts in something like egg. It's just one cell but... still like egg.

An egg is not a cell.
An egg have life form inside. The life form has to exist before there can be something like an egg.

Then...Then... You are right. The chicken was first.

The egg came first
The egg of some organism that evolved into the chicken

Darwin's Theory of Natural Selection: Animals most fitted to survive will sirvive. Evolution is the process that occurs when an organism changes it's genetic makeup. Animals hat evolve with the most suitable adaptations will survive. Lets say Organism X evolved into a chicken over 200,000 years. This means that it originally was not a chicken but the chicken's offspring were chickens. Producing offspring via an egg is an adaptation, so chickens more than likely reproduced in other ways which were ineffective so the chickens who produced offspring by using eggs had the more favorable adaptation so only they survived. This means that the chicken more than likely came before the egg.

The egg came first
The egg of some organism that evolved into the chickenExactly, the egg would have had to come first. An organism evolves into a being. Not the other way around.

But, the egg came first
The chicken has to evolve from organisms which lay eggs, so, those eggs were before the chicken

No it doesn't have to evolve from an egg. this question does not ask whether the chicken came before ANY egg but rather if it came before it's own egg. Producing offspring via an egg is an adaptation which means that there were chickens that reproduced without eggs so the chicken came first.

If we read the holly bible then we will find that got created animals...not eggs.An egg needs a chicken to hatch it...so the chicken came forst or is an evolved specie of some bird family...Either way it's 10% positive that the chicken came first

What if some of us don't believe in the Bible? (We'll get into that topic later)
An Animal did not make itself. It had to evolve into what it is now. An organism or basically the egg was made into a chicken over centuries of time. Evolution doesn't go backwards.

Um that sentence does not make sense. and if you read my earlier posts you would see that not all chickens make offspring with eggs. It is an adaptation and was the best way for chickens to survive, so only the chickens who laid eggs would survive (Darwin's Theory of Natural selection and Survival of the Fittest). That means that the chicken evolved from another, bird-like organism. That oorganism could have laid eggs, but since not all chickens did it is highly unlikely that it's pre-evolutionary form did so the chicken more than likely came before the egg

Well Darwin's Theory was based on adaptations of the Chicken laying eggs and its survival. Not if it was made first. Chickens don't appear out of thin air. They have to be made into. You don't see people made instantly. The egg had to have been made first for the chicken to lay its own eggs.

The questions was:
Chicken or the egg?
For a chicken egg to come about, it has to be laid by a chicken
So, it's the chicken
If it is just an egg
Egg came first

First of all when did I say that chickens just appeared out of thin air? secondly, how do you know that the first chicken was born from an egg? I akready said that that was an adaptation and not all organisms reproduce like that

The chicken was formed through evolution. You may want to look at Darwin's Theory of Evolution for more details. The egg and sperm are results of reproduction. The chicken cannot reproduce without another chicken.

exactly so the chicken had to come first to fertilize the egg

Sage -
If chickens evolved from Dinosaurs, it is almost certain the first chicken was born from an egg
Again, if you want to know what came first, a chicken or a chicken egg?
A chicken had to come first, because no matter what is inside the egg, the layer is owner of the egg. Therefore, a chicken has to lay a chicken egg.
If you want to know what came first, a chicken or an egg?
An egg came first, because do to fossil evidence dinosaurs, who are born from eggs, existed long before chickens

WHAT??????????????????
Chickens did not evlove from Dinosaurs. all dinosaurs were killed so their evolutionary line was stopped. ..........sigh...........

Anyway the question has been answered. If you think that me, GsV, and everyone else who said chickens came first you are wrong. Open up a biology book and look up Darwin's Theory of Natural Selection and you will see.
