This is something I've set up on some other boards before, and it's never too big of a hassle if you have the right Mod on it.

A Religion section. Yea, a discussion on Religion. I've found it brings a lot of activity to the boards, and I really enjoy talking about my religion. So, if you do decide to set it up, make me a Religion Mod, please?

Yea. I have a way. If you can let me Moderate it, I'll keep it clean. So far we've only had problems on the other sites once, and that was with the same guy, who's a known flamer. The people here are much more mature too ... so I think we can handle it ...

I like the idea... But you as mod... I really don't know about that, sorry, Vash. Just my opinion. I won't add any flames to the fire here about it. Anyway... I like the idea.

i wouldnt mind it. i mite not actively post on it, but i guess it wouldnt be too much of a problem as long as no one flames.

I don't think I like the idea of a religion section. This is, afterall, an ANIME forum.

Religious discussions tend to lead to flames from what I've seen(Christian and Catholic right wing nut jobs flaming the ignorant non-religious atheists,that's always fun to watch).


Obviously from what I've seen from Vashs' posts he is very religious,hence his moderating may be a little biased to his own belief's.Not that he wouldn't make a good moderator,but maybe you should get a religious mod with different belief's then Vashs' if you go through with this.That way,you have have two moderators with different beliefs,cuts down on any biased modding.



But hey,what do I know :P

Razor, you're right. That's one of the problems te first website I did this with had. All of the Religious Mods were Christians. Then we Scottfab to Mod it, as he's atheist, and we got Shinato to Mod it too, and he's Muslim, and it's going pretty good right now.

But I think the ardest thing to control is someone shoving their beliefs down another's throat ... That can cause problems ...

it would be hard, but not impossible. im christian, but i never go to church. but, i still believe in the christian faith. i dont like the idea of flaming others pplz religions. me n vash could keep it under control. get an atheist or a muslim or a bhuddist (sp?) and ull be great, as there will be a diversity of cultures. however, as long as pplz keep their tempers and dont do judgements about other pplz cultures, i think it would be ok. i mean, most of us r pretty mature at this forum not to talk bad about other pplz religions, rite?

Well I really wouldn't careless. Firey arguements over religious topics have happened before from what I have seen. But people here SHOULD be mature enough and the rules are more strict here. So I doubt too much flaming would get out of hand. Also we need someone who doesn't give a damn about either religions, but still knows alot about it, etc.
Because sometimes the mods will side with only one side due to it is their belief. But I don't care really, I mean i'm catholic, but I don't care too much about it and all. But it catches more attentions and activity and another place to post.

Bashing religion is something I would never go as far as. Even if I weren't religious. I mean, most people know that it's a touchy subject, so they don't flame it. It's only common sense.
