Ao Going backwards....again

Once again, AO has gone backwards to the state before we had an rpg hack. This sucks. We must get a new host if this will keep happening all of the time. Who's with me?

I'm not fully sure on what's going on.... What do you mean the state? I don't mind sticking to one host, but it's not mostly up to me.

OK here is exactly what happened. I spoke to my host about the dns problems on the sub domains. So he decided to transfer the account to another server and transfer back. I didnt relize this and nor was I explained of this. So I thought something went wrong. So I told him to stop transfer and thats how we lost our files for AO atleast.

I don't think Ve will kill you. But i mean, this is the second time its happened. And we've lost files like 10 times. But this is like teh best host...

We do have backups its just it takes long to upload and is a pane in the ***.

I dont think V is gonna get a new host just to clear some peoples assumptions. It was not the hosts fault. I made a little mistake. I am sorry for this. All hostees either reupload ur files or ask me for a new account.. through pm

I've been rather busy with life, as i am right now.

Anyways, as you have noticed i dont come on often, and with this new event i dont plan to come on anymore(with teh exception of web page design class). In case you are wondering, no i WILL NOT restore AO, nor will it ever come back(as of this moment, it is final, it may change in a couple months, who knows). The only site i will manage from now on will be riftwarp(as soon as y pc is fixed), everything i will save for any future projects. Hellspire has been emailed by me with quite a lengthy description of my plans. Thank you all who have helped me but quite frankly, its just not worth it. In this past weeks i have rarely been on, and to my surprise i don't miss it one bit, this turn of events seems to be nothing more than act of destiny. I have no one to blame for my decision, so likewise no one should blame themselves.

If Hellspire got my email, i hope he is courteous enough to post what i have told him.

Dang man would you have made this decision if the files were not deleted?! I bet not. Although you are not blaming anyone this looks like its all my fault.

Perhaps, you can make a new site.. If you will I would love to host it and work at it and I will be more careful with the files -_-.

You will still be hosted even though AnimeOrigins remains closed.

I just came up with one more idea.. If all the staff want to I can re-open AO myself and when VeGarz wants to come back he is welcome to anytime. VeGarz, what do you think of this?

...well we still have gsnvt. i dont think V will come back, i dont about this but when i worked for him and talk to him it always seemed like he was really stressed. now i think it would be great if ao came back even tho i have no care for anime but just because it was one of the popular "well-to-do" sites(atleast i thought it was). anyways, just think about this, if v decided to restore it...man, i know i couldnt handle that. im guessing that there were aloooooooooooooooooot of files at ao. i dont think V could do it.

Noo... :'( my reason to even have gotten this far has now crumbled. Vegarz, If I never met you, or Anime Origins.. I would be a better webmaste, but, Wouldn't have a good friend.. With a nice website :P. I would still be working on Master Duelist.. And would have gave up, because great websites cause great amounts of stress..

I think you still should shorten the list of staff.. That way, it wouldn't be so messy and confusing, just give greater jobs to those who can do them and handle it without complaining..

If Vegarz will let me, I will take control off AO and manage it with the current staff. I know i'm working on a website myself.. But I can take it for awhile.. FW isn't opening for 2-3 months.

Alright VeGarz. If its fine with you I am taking control of AO whenever you want to come back you can come and be head webmaster once again. I promise I will take very good care of the site and will not mess it up.
