Okay, I've been having a problem with the font sizes on my Adobe Photoshop for quite some time now, but it's really started to bug me now. Usually, I assume, the font size is based on whole numbers (ex. 8, 10, 12, 14, etc.), but on my Photoshop, it works in decimals (ex. 8 point font normally, I would have to input .06), and this is becoming quite a bother. Does anyone know what is going on, and more importantly, how to fix it? Thanks.

That is REALLY strange.
So when you put in "0.6" as the font, you get an 8-point font?
And does that happen for every font or just one?

That was just an example, but yeah.

Well do you have an illegal version of it?
You might be able to contact Adobe and see what's wrong or you can just uninstall it and re-download it. (http://coolandawesome.com/ : dowload menu)

No, it's a legal, and I may try that. Any other suggestions? Anyone?

well you can always try to re-install it sometimes that happens cuz one time my photoshop wouldn't save for web and I use that feature a lot so I just reinstalled it and it worked again.

Alot of times it will fix itself. Also if you are using the same psd for the issue its not going to get fixed. So you should close adobe and make a new psd. If that doesn't work...then I got no idea what your problem is.....
I've had this problem before also so I'm somewhat used to doing this.

check what kind of psd you are making.

if all else fails, tell adobe.

Dude, don't have any more fear, this has happened to me many times.
When photoshop is running just do CTRL + ALT + DEL then end the process of photoshop.exe. And then start it up again.

It happened shortly after I got Photoshop, around six months ago.

I had a different problem to you. Using pixel fonts and stuff you put the size to 6 or 8. I had to put them as 7.15 and stuff like that. I can't help but I re-installed mine and it worked. May just be your computer.

Guys, absolutely none of this is working for me. I really don't know why.

It always happens. What you need to do is first delete ALL text layers, shut down your PC and then start again. I'm assuming you continue to use the same PSD?
It's happened to me quite a bit, sometimes it only affects a certain PSD, cause I have two open and only one is affected, it makes verything bigger right? Sometimes I just end up trying every decimal(ex, 1.1-1.9) until it looks ok.

Well, normally I wouldn't mind about this, but it has become a real problem in my transition from Photoshop Elements 3.0 to Photoshop 7.0. Photoshop Elements allow me to use decimals such as .0x; Photoshop 7.0 forces you to stop at .1. And Swift, do I close Photoshop before shutting down?

meh. Double post. I found a temporary solution using superscript, but I'd appreciate your continued help. Thanks.
