In need of ideas

Ok, in school, we need to think of a year-long project and i chose to do a website. But i mean like the best of the best. I need an idea on what to make the site about and some ideas i should put on it. I already thought of making a chatbox that i've made before and a forum and some sort of uploading thing like photobucket where you can upload stuff like pictures and anything else you need to upload (you can even make your own site off this without ads!). How i should get all this off this mac and onto my home computer i don't know. Maybe floppy disks i guess. Please help me. Thanks!

Chatbox is complete. There is only 3 smileys as of now. I will get some more later. I am now working on how many hits the site gets and then make both of those things into scripts.

Ok, I got the chatbox almost done and the config.php is progressing with each page (can't finish it until each page is complete). I got to get smileys for my chatbox so if you can get me some, great. All help is appreciated.

Oct 18,2004 : I have nearly completed the chatbox. Sincehile in class (websense thing), i'll do it at home and upload here. My goal for tomorrow is to finish the chatbox and start on the script for how many times people have downloaded that download.

Make it a discussion site. With image hosting, forums, chat, etc. Like yahoo groups.

What can you do, like what are your limits. Can you do games sites and stuff?

Not flash games or regular games. I can make an rpg, chatbox, an ok forum, affiliate script, hits script (just how many hits you get no unique or graph but i can find a tut), a portal for flash movies and stuff like that. I think i'll make my site a script-only site where i give out the scripts i make for FREE! I can't get money from paypal or address thanks to parents. And I won't help anyone on how to do it. They'll have to figure it out on their own! I will also post progress.

Thats a great idea, you could also make a section about your school (sence it is a school projects)

Technically its not a school project since he just told us to do whatever we wanted that didn't have to be school related but in the base of technology. And why do you need to know my school anyway!? lol j/k But all ideas are appreciated. Any graphics and/or names given to the site (site name, site logo etc), will be accepted and may put up and i will give you credit. So help Yusayoh and you'll be famous at my school (or at least in my class). lol

Thanks guys! I can make my own gfx but hey, who knows more than the audience? Besides, I'd be busy working on the site anyway. I bet you i get bored of it tomorrow lol. A name is what i need..Remember, its a script site so think script. I don't think i'll need Evolution XL though. Cool name. Not my style. How bout XTREME SCRIPTING FO n00bs! lol no. Wait... which name are you using for the site? What should the size of the banner be? What color scheme and stock (if any)?

I think i'm gonna go with Scripts-4-Dummies. It can be anything you want stevil. Any size, doesn't matter to me because i can always change the sizes of it in the config.php file that i'll create soon enough. Have fun with it!

What happened? It went backward...anyway, I think I'll go with 1337 SCRIPTS. Colors: White and light grey. Font: a pixel font. Size: Same size as stevils banner (for banners). Size for layout: A good size to make it look good and professional

shoutboxes arn't a real good idea.. too easily exploited and it makes a real nice tunnel for a a black-hat to get into the cgi, where they can do alot of damage, and if they are scriptkiddies then you're screwed... not that im telling anyone about anything..

A n00b didn't delete it, the server went back 2 days since it was down. But we didn't lose a lot of stuff. Just go to any professional host and try and make it look professional like VeGarz does. Also, check out formalsleek.com ( i think thats right) their layout is totally what i'm talking bout.
