I like the way it looks, i wonder how it feels when you use it to play games.
what are your thoughts on this controller?

honey, wheres my remote for the revolution? <presses power buttons on several remotes> None of them seem to be working!!! Honey??

That looks like a conventional remotes that is seen with dvd players. How is it for gaming. That is the stupidest idea ever. Unless Nintendo plans to bring really slow games such as those seen on certain dvd movies. No way that controller is for metroid or super smash bros.

I seiously doubt Nintando will ever use a controller in the shap of a remote. No company would ever release a controller like that, it takes away from the gaming experience.

i hope this isnt the controller. if it is nintendo is out of buisness and im saying screw them and going to become all xbox. cause really you cant game with only 1 controll stick. well it doesnt even have analog! just a fucking D-pad. but nintendo hasent killed themself yet. this controll could introduce better gameplay or just shit. i hope that when it comes out that it can make things good (with the sensor some fps could get really good or really sucky) so theres atleast a chance they could do good...a very small chance

What sucks is

"Nintendo mentioned the button names and their exact sizes could still change slightly before production, but what you see here is close to the final design."

Ok cool, there is a solution to playing with a remotle control

Here is a peice that adds on to the controller, to make FPS games like metroid and other games better. http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2005/news/09/15/revcon_screen004.jpg

Eh... I don't think I will be able to keep a straight face when one of my relatives attempts to turn on the TV or DVD with it...

LOL. That'd be great. It'd be awesome if someone recorded that actually...

Why does the joystick look like something out of an adult toy magazine? I feel dirty just thinking about using it. ><

a lot of companys got to say what they think of the Revolution controller, and i liked this guys coment the most out of all of them.

Chris Melissinos
Chief Gaming Officer, Sun Microsystems

This is why I love Nintendo. Just when people think that innovation is dead and game design/implementation is becoming a barren wasteland, the House of Mario does something so off the wall that people stand up and take notice. What other game hardware company would have the guts to release a controller that looks like a TV remote? No one but Nintendo.

Not only do I believe that the controller will help usher in a new generation of game design, I think the Revolution has a better chance of succeeding than most analysts and critics believe. The combination of their "motion centric" controller, deep catalog of content spanning 20+ years and kick ass next generation games, puts Nintendo is in the best position to broaden the market and bring those gamers, who stopped playing, back to the television with their family in tow. I want to thank Nintendo for not maintaining the status quo, for constantly pushing the industry to rethink how games can be implemented and, most importantly, for reminding us that how we play is just as important as what we play.

that is how i feel about nintendo, they keep raising the bars to make game companys stay on their toes.
