I am currently reading two books. one is called Prey by Michael Crichton and the other is Children's End by Arthur Clarke. post the book you are reading and tell me if you like it. I like those books because they are in detail and have action.

A really good book I read was 'Eldest' by Christopher Paolini. Even though this book is classified as "children's" it is nothing short of brilliant in terms of a sequal to the still popular Eragon. For those of you who are unaware, this is slated to become a movie in 2006 (Eragon) and if things go well (which they should) Eldest and the third book (of which the name eludes me) should become a movie as well.

That's the most recent book anyway.
im reading that to, and its a pretty good book so far, tough i only started reading it yesterday so ive ony got to the part when Eragon and Saphira talk to the Council Of Elders.

i also just recently finished the 6th Harry Potter book, but the ending chapter wasnt too good =/

O_O Dude! I have the hardcovers for Book 1 - 6. That is one awesome series! But I have to say, after re-reading Book 1, it really feels like a teenager wrote the book.

 well it came out brilliantly on film (even though much was cut out or changed to be gay from the book). I believe it was written to be very simple for children, and after they started to like it she thought she could get away with more by adding more detail and using a tad more complex language.

ii didnt know it came out on film. also i dont really think it was for children (it was in the teenager isle of the bookstore) and also they have too much death and adut situations (lol i think) for it to be a kids book. also i thought a guy wrote it (darren shan) i mean he has another book out and he uses the same name (different series)
