Well i kinda hate reading so i will tell some of the things that make me read a book.
1.it needs to catch your attention right away
2. it needs to have good plot twists
3. it cant be boring
and thats about it

It has to have a film with it, then I can watch the film and say I've read the book.

For starters, a good cover.

Character development, suspence, and some twists.

one of my favorite books would have to be "Of Mice and Men".

Mostly Michael Crichton books. Jurassic Park, Prey, and some others.

Then from there I would have too say, Cirque Du Freak.

I kinda stopped reading books, and moved onto Graphic Novels.

yeah. the book Prey is very good so far. but I am almost done. it has good detail and it has plenty of suspense.

Agreed :I

I'm also interested in Crichton's new book. Um, State of Fear I think it's what it's called. Yep.

It needs to not suck.

Anything that catches your attention right away, and keeps you into it is good. If the first chapter of the book is boring, then regardless of how interesting the rest of the book is, I will refuse to read it.

yeah sometimes I will stop reading it and never get back to it after I read some of the beginning. it needs to start out interesting. and the cover needs to be cool. eye catching.

It has to have a good amount of description and details of things

Not too much so it's exactly laid out, and involves no imagination to read it.

And Not lacking in details where things aren't pointed out, so the writer can take an easyer route for something, that makes really mad.
