Name: Edward Elric Age: 10, Name: Ariana Age: 10, Name: Alphonse Elric Age: 9
The three young siblings ran all the way to their house laughing the whole way, while carrying small baskets of fruit. Although there had been some hard times in their lives, the three of them together and their mother was all they needed to keep smiling.
“Come Ed hurry up! The sooner were there the more alchemy you can teach me!” Ariana shouted, at least ten feet ahead of Ed and Al. Ariana and Edward are twins, and is very obvious to spot. The exact same eye color, and hair, not to mention their facial features were a lot alike. The only difference you could spot was that Ariana is a girl, and Edward is a guy. Ariana had no problem with simple transmutation it was using her elemental alchemy she had trouble with, and Ed was her perfect teacher.
“Relax Ari we have plenty of time for you to become a master..just like me!” Ariana and Al rolled their eyes at Ed’s last comment. Ed had a very interesting personality. He could get mad extremely easy by being called short, a trait that Ariana and Ed shared, and could be very carrying. Alphonse and Ariana seem to be his very world. He’s very overprotective over both of them, but once the boys start coming around Ariana, he’s more then just evil. However Al was the exact same way.
“Come on brother you may be good, but I wouldn’t say a master yet.” Alphonse is the youngest of his brother and sister, but he intends to act like the oldest sometimes. His voice sounded very young for him being nine and he is almost taller then his brother and sister. He too had blonde hair, but keeps it short while Ed seems to grow it out a bit. He is a very happy go lucky type kid, and just looks at the bright side of things.
Ed opened the door, but stopped at the unpleasant sight before him. “Ed why did you have to stop right in the middle of the d-…door?” Ariana’s eyes widened in fear and she dropped her basket of fruit and ran to her mother’s unconscious form. Soon Ed and Al were by her side. “A-Al go get Aunt Panako! Quickly. Ed help me move mom.”
It turned out my mother had been hiding her sickness for many years, and it all lead back to the day dad left us. A few days had past and now here we were. Sitting in front of our mother’s grave.
“How are we supposed to live without her brother?” Alphonse asked. As he hugged his knees close to him. Ariana pulled him into her arms in a comforting embrace. “ We still have each other Al.” Ariana said in-between tears. “No, we don’t have to live without her, because were going to bring here back.” Al and Ariana looked up at their brother in horror. “We can’t do that Ed.”
Even though I was against it we had found ourselves a teacher and learned many different alchemy techniques. I couldn’t find the exact words to change Ed’s mind.
Ed and Ariana sat staring at the night sky in silence. Ariana had just sung Al to sleep and came outside with Ed. “Edward?” She started slightly nervous. “ Yeah,” he said, not taking his eyes from the stars. “Mom wouldn’t like what were about to do for her,” Now she had his complete attention. “and I don’t like it either Ed. No one has ever been able to do this successfully and I don’t wan to loose you and Al!” She let a few tears fall and turned her face away from him. “Please Ed..we can’t do this. Promise me you won’t..”She couldn’t finish. The thought of them failing and the possibility of one of them dying was too much for her to bare.
Ed didn’t know what to think. Never once had he thoughts of one of them dying, and if he wasn’t around for Al or Ariana he would never forgive himself. Seeing his sister’s tears fall put him in a spot where he had to choose. Did Al feel the same? He probably did. He smiled softly and put a hand on her shoulder. “Ariana as long as you’re here I swear to you I will never use human transmutation.” Ariana smiled brightly and literally tackled him in a hug. They continued their training everyday and became even stronger. With there new master Ariana was learning how to use her elemental alchemy with ease, and with Ed and Al helping her, it seemed like nothing. Everything seemed almost perfect. Heck they were even smiling again, but some things are just meant to happen.
Ariana sat up with a sudden start. The sound of glass shattering echoed the halls outside her room. “What did Ed do now?” she question, half laughing. Walking down the halls, hugging her coat close to her, she followed the sounds of voices. ‘That’s not master Izumi’s voice, or Al’s, or Ed’s, it’s not even Izumi’s freaky companion.’ The closer she got the more she began to regret not waking anyone. Without another minute Ariana stepped on a creaky loose floorboard, and got the attention of the intruders. “We’ve been found out!” One of them cried out. “ Don’t worry it’s just a pipsqueak of a girl.” Ariana stood straight and her eye twitched. “ WHO YOU CALLING A PIPSQUEAK!” Quickly drawing a transmutation circle she made a few things make them go tumbling down the many staircases. “ Ha, ha! Take that!” Throwing victory punch in the air she never realized the shadow looming over her. Before she knew it she was grabbed from behind, and her wrists were tied together. “ Hey let me go! ED-WARRRRRRD!! ALPONSE HELP!” her terrifying calls had woken the whole house. Running down the may halls Ed and AL just got there in time to see Ariana struggling against them. “ Let her go!” he slid down the rails and ran as fast as he could, but was soon blinded by a glimmering light. Once that light faded, Ariana and the intruders were gone.
Al fell to his knees. “Why did this have to happen?” Ed’s eyes were wide with fear and sorrow. How could he let her down? “Ariana as long as you’re here I swear to you I will never use human transmutation.” She wasn’t here anymore, and in order to help Ariana they’re going to need their mom too.
Days turned to weeks, weeks turned to months, and they couldn’t find Ariana anywhere. “Where never going to find her are we brother?” Al asked with tears in his eyes. “I swear to you Al. I’m going to bring Ariana back to where she belongs. With you, man, and mom.” Al looked at him with fear in his eyes, but nodded knowing what had to be done.
A few years went by and the most horrible thing imaginable had happened. I managed to escape from my captors, but landed in something worse. Some state alchemists were attacking some kind of Ishbalian refuge camp. I did all I could do against them, and help few people escape, but some many people were running around that I couldn’t spot the enemy. I had taken an attack from behind and hit my head on a boulder landing in a world of blackness. The next thing I knew, I woke up to a man with a scar on his face looking down at me. I was in some type of tent. The man asked my name, and…I couldn’t remember. He asked who my family was, and I couldn’t remember! My hand touched a golden chain on my neck with a broken half piece connected to it.
Ariana
E
And that’s all it said. I had wondered what the “E” stood for, but at least I knew my name. Ironically the man was called Scar. He told me all about what the state alchemists and what they had done to people. My hate fro them grew by the minute, and then I realized something. It’s their fault I have no memory!
Two years went by and Scar and I were somewhat friends. Even though I didn’t agree for what he did by killing state alchemists, I knew some disserved it. Through time I had been given a name of my own. I helped people, who needed it, and I was asked to take the alchemy exam many times, but turned the offer down, but they still gave me a name.

Chapter one: My bad
Edward Elric walked out of the eastern HQ finding his little brother Alphonse playing with some cat. “So what did the colonel want, brother?” He asked. His brother seemed very serious and Ed wasn’t one to be serious all the time. “He wants us to find the Winter Rose Alchemist. Apparently she’s allies with Scar and could help the military find him.” Al was somewhat surprised by this information. He had no idea that anyone was an ally with Scar. “Do you even know what she looks like, brother? How can we find her if we don’t know what she looks like?” Ed was silent for what seemed like forever. “Mustang showed me a photo of her and she looks just like me…” Al gasped slightly, but sounded excited almost. “Brother do you think it’s..” “I don’t know Al. but I’m going to find out..” They both turned at the sound of muffling. They shrugged once they saw nothing, and the two walked down the heavily crowded streets. “So uh, where do we start Ed?” Ed’s face dropped. “That’s a very good question!”
A young girl about the age of fifteen sat on an old wooded crate in a dark alley, almost waiting fro something. She had golden blonde hair with some braids in different sections. Her amber eyes seemed lost in thought. Almost everyday of her life she was mistaken for the Fullmetal Alchemist, which angered her. She may not know who she is all the way, but she defiantly knew she was no state alchemist. She heard some heavy clanking and looked at the end of the alley to see someone in full body armor. “Wow suspicious much?” She chuckled softly, but smiled sweetly as he started to play with a stray cat. “He must be young. Sure is tall though.” Her face went blank as she remembered being called short by some cornel guy. He wanted her to take a state alchemy exam, but she immediately turned the offer down. “You know you’re becoming famous.” She looked over at the familiar voice and smiled slightly. “Oh and how is that?” There in all his glory stood Scar leaning against the brick wall. “The military’s looking for you.” She sighed deeply. “Can’t they take no for an answer!” He shook his head. “No. There looking for you cause they think you can lead them to me, Ariana.” She smiled slightly at the sound of her name. It was the only thing she could remember thanks to her necklace, but what was really confusing was the fact that it seemed broken. Did other pieces connect? “Well they won’t get anything out of me that’s for sure.” “What did the cornel want, brother?” They both looked over at the boy in the armor, and gasped slightly, but for different reasons. Scar was for the fact that the Elric brothers were there, but Ariana’s reason was the fact that looking at the blonde haired boy was like looking at herself. “That must be him..the Fullmeatal Alchemist.” She jumped from the crate and began to walk toward them, but Scar pulled her back. “Hey mfff..” His hand covered her mouth and he hid them in the shadows. Once they were gone he let her go. “Why did you do that? I might have gotten some answers form him!” Ariana crossed her arms. “He’s a state alchemist so he’ll turn you in. Ariana once I take care of Fullmetal were leaving central.” Her eyes widened. She knew what “take care of” meant, and usually she didn’t care as long as she didn’t do it, but the thought of this alchemist dying pained her somehow. She stood in front of Scar and stretched out her arms to block his path. “No Scar. Just leave him be, please.” Her eyes were pleading for him to let the boy be. Scar’s eyes widened as Ed’s replaced Ariana’s from. Her eyes looked exactly like Ed’s pleading eyes, when he begged for him to leave Al alive. He shook his head and stared off into space. ‘Is it possible that she’s related to Fullmetal?’ he looked at he again and saw a great resemblance, but thought it was just a coincidence. “Let’s leave Ariana.” She smiled and nodded, following Scar out of the dark alley.
Ed groaned loudly as once again no one had seen the Winter Rose Alchemist anywhere. “How hard can it be to find one person!” His eyes were wide with anger. “Calm down brother we’ll find her soon. Excuse me, Sir, have you seen a girl about fifteen, who looks like my brother here, anywhere?” The old man looked over Ed and nodded his head slowly. “Why yes I have,” Ed cheered up at the long last answer he had been waiting for. “She was heading for the train station.” His face fell and he grabbed Al’s arm and took off running. “ THANKS GRAMPS!” The old man’s eyes were wide in anger. “ARE YOU CALLING ME OLD YOU PIPSQEAK!!” Ed stopped with his eyes twitching. “Who are you calling..wo!” Al grabbed his arm and ran as fast as he could. “Okay I get it Al let me go!” “We have to hurry, Ed! She may be on a train already for all we know.” The two continued running as fast as they could, but stopped in surprise, but smiled at the same time. “Ariana!” Al called out running toward her with Ed following. “Hey Ari!”
Ariana turned at the sound of her name being called. One of them had called her “Ari” and she had never been called that before. She stepped back in realization. “It’s the two from before! Scar we need to go now!” They both started to run toward their train.
“Why is she running, brother?” Ed glared once he saw Scar. “That’s why let’s go Al!”
Ariana and Scar jumped on the train and lucky for them it just started moving! Her smiled faded and she sighed. “Man they just won’t give up!”
“Ed the train!” He clapped his hands and touched the ground and earth pushed them forward and the jumped onto the train. “ Stop right there! Were not going to do anything!” Al yelled at both Scar and Ariana. She rolled her eyes and ran into one of the cars. “What did he tell her?” Ed and Al immediately ran after them only to find the door locked. Ed laughed aloud. “Oh please like that will stop us?” using his alchemy the door busted open. “You didn’t have to destroy it, brother.” He shrugged and ran inside. Ariana had just started to climb a ladder to the top of the train and Scar ran into the next car. “Al you after Scar, I’ll try to talk to Ariana!” Al nodded and went after Scar, as Ed climbed the ladder.
Ariana looked back as she heard someone behind her. Her eyes widened. “Don’t you ever give up?” Ed sighed and stayed where he was, since he knew she would run if he got closer. “I don’t know what Scar told you, but don’t you even recognize me Ariana?” She gave him an are-you-crazy look. “I have no idea who you are!” Ed’s eyes grew wide in surprise, but knew she wasn’t lying. Her eyes told him that. “What happened to you Ari? Come on it’s me Edward…Edward Elric..Your twin brother come on,” She stepped back at this. “We also have a little brother, Alphonse.” Her eyes were full of sadness. “I don’t even remember who I am! How am I supposed to remember anyone else?” Ed looked down in despair. He was afraid of this, but he never thought it would hurt him this much. They used to be so close. He looked up at her. “Ariana you have to believe me.” She shook her head slowly. “How can I? You’re one of them! It’s a state alchemists’ fault that I don’t remember anything!” Ed made a fist with his hand. ‘What else will they do to innocent people!’ he thought in anger. “Let’s just go down there and talk. I can help you remember Ariana. I know who you are!” She was about to protest when the sound of a gunshot echoed around them. “Ariana get down!” Ed tackled her into the ground, but grunted in pain as the pullet pierced his shoulder. ‘Why did he have to shoot on the left?’ he thought in pain.
She couldn’t believe it. He had saved her just now, but now he was hurt. Half of her was worried while another part called him an idiot, however her eyes were full of concern. Ed stood to his feet and clapped his hands and made a cannon sending the shooter off the train, but the rattling of the blast had made Ariana loose her balance and fall of the side.
Ariana opened her eyes and found herself dangling off the side. She looked up too see Ed holding onto her arm. ‘That’s twice now.’ The train had gone over some type of bump in the tracks and it caused her to hit the side of the train. She winced slightly before falling unconscious. ‘Out of all the places my head had to hit it was that one spot!’ she thought before darkness over took her.
Ed saw Ariana loose consciousness and blinked slightly knowing that it was half his fault. The cannon had hit the man, but also hit the tracks a bit. “My bad..” he whispered as he pulled her up. ‘Well she’ll want to listen to you know!’ he scolded himself, as he lifted her into his arms and carried her down into the train. ‘I’ll get you back to the way you were Ariana. You’ll have your memories back. I promise.’

Chapter two: Dream, or nightmare
Chapter two: I still can’t believe…help me..
“Wow brother she’ll really want to listen to us now.” If you could see Al’s face you would see a blank, yet angry expression. “I didn’t mean too! Besides if I didn’t get rid of that guy Ariana could be…dead.” Ed and Al’s eyes grew wide as a pale expression crossed their features. “Teacher would..kill us if she found out about not only what we did, but if Ariana died too..” the thought of their old master made them shrink in their seats. It had been at least a few hours since the little chase and Scar was nowhere to be found. The sound of a groan filled their ears. Turning their attention to the now awakening Ariana, they smiled to each other knowing that it was time to head home. Risembool would defiantly be the place to bring back memories. They both wondered what Aunt Panako and Winry would say, once they found out.
Ariana’s POV
I had opened my eyes slowly and was greeted by the world’s largest headache. ‘Wait I’m alive! So that Fullmeatal guy saved me?..again..man now I owe him two.’ I sat up slowly and looked around and saw the curious eyes of the guy who saved me and someone in armor. “Um..hey. I uh..thanks for saving me..” After this we actually talked! I hadn’t had a real conversation with anyone except Scar, but around these two it felt natural.
Normal POV
“All right Ariana it’s time to get serious. Do you remember anything before you lost your memory?” She looked down for a moment and nodded slowly. “I remember being attacked by a state alchemist. He attacked me from behind and that’s all I remember.” Ed put his head in his hands while Al stared out the window. “Did I say something wrong?” They both shook their heads. “No Ariana you didn’t. I just had no idea that it would be a state alchemists fault..what else will they do?” Ed whispered the last part to himself. To break the uncomfortable silence Ariana decided to learn their names. “So you both know my name, but I don’t know yours.” Ed looked up at her with wide eyes and stormed out of the room. She looked at al with a confused expression. “He’s just sad that you don’t remember Ariana.” She laid down on the seat and closed her eyes. As much as she wanted to believe them she couldn’t. How can you believe that you’re related to someone when you can’t remember them. ‘I just wish I could say something to make both of them feel better.’ She closed her eyes and drifted to sleep.
Ed’s POV
He punched the wall, with his right fist, and created a dent. He couldn’t believe it! He just couldn’t! How could you be so close to a family member and then suddenly it’s gone. It was like loosing his mom almost. Even though Ariana is still alive, it’s like she was never his sister now. He leaned against the wall and slumped down. He knew that some state alchemists’ have killed before, but attacking his sister, he wasn’t going to have it. He was angry, yet sadder then anything at the same time. Would things ever be the way they used to be? It was me Al and Ariana. Once again we were practicing alchemy as usual. Ariana kept freezing things by accident so mom had told Al and I to help her. That day we made a promise to do things together. We always got stuff done that way. Just Ariana, Alphonse, and me. When our mother died it was difficult, but with my brother and sister it was a lot easier. Ariana would always comfort me too. Why can’t it be that way now! He had lost his mom and he wasn’t about to loose his sister now! They had just found her! She would remember! He walked back into the room only to find Ariana fast asleep, but not peacefully. She was tossing and turning, and she was calling for mom. Al was trying to wake her up, but nothing worked.
Normal POV
“Al go get aunt Panako now!” Ed and Ariana did their best to move their mom. Soon some help had come. “Promise me Ed that you won’t try and bring mom back! I don’t want to loose you or Al!” “I promise Ariana.” Ed had just finished drawing the transmutation circle when Al finally spoke up. “Ed we promised Ariana that we wouldn’t do this. Just imagine how angry she would be!” Al looked over at the pictures of himself and his sister. He could just see her chasing them down. “I know Al, but once mom is back Ariana will be proud of us!” But they failed. It was almost dawn when Ed had awoken. He remembered what they had done and he had lost his leg, and Al’s body, but at the cost of an arm. Al’s soul was in a suit of armor. He looked put the open window and held in the tears that threatened to escape. “Mom I’m sorry, but I failed and now I’m paying for it. Ariana I’m sorry. I broke my promise and I’ll understand if you hate me…but I’ll find you…I don’t care how long it takes me…Al and I won’t loose you like we lost mom!”
Ariana…wake up…wake up!
Ariana’s eyes shot open and she sat up quickly knocking Ed off his feet. “Jeez, Ari don’t do that again,” said Al as he sighed deeply in relief. “Yeah you had us worried sick!” She looked at them with sad eyes. “I saw what..you did..you tried to bring mom back.” Ed looked down in shame while nodded slowly than looked away. Words of a promise echoed around her. “Promise me Ed that you won’t try and bring mom back! I don’t want to loose you or Al!” “I promise Ariana.” The bangs of her hair covered her eyes as she stood to her feet. She walked in front of the now standing Ed. “Ed,” she said in a dull whisper. “Yeah?” With eyes full of anger she lifted an arm and punched him square in the face. “You promised me Ed! You said you wouldn’t do it! You and Al could have died!” Ed wiped away the small amount of blood coming from his now busted lip. Al was at his side in an instant and helped him stand. “I guess I deserved that. I should have known that this would happen.” Both of her fists were still clenched together, and she turned away from them. “But why do you even care if we died! You didn’t seem to care if we got hurt now! What do you care!” Ariana glared at him and held herself back from hitting him again. “I don’t care? Ed I may not remember who you or Al are, but after that dream I know it’s true! You’re my brothers that’s why I care and..” she caught herself at her words and covered her mouth, while Ed was grinning ear to ear. “Come again?” She shook her head vigorously and stepped back. “Nothing!” Al appeared to be smiling as he took a few steps closer to her. “You did it Ariana! You took one step closer in getting your memory back!” She put down her hands and looked out at the passing scenery, and smiled slightly. “Yeah Al. I guess I did.” She looked at Ed and noticed his bleeding lip. “I’m sorry. I just couldn’t believe what you did. I guess it’s because part of me feels betrayed that you would break your promise to me.” Ed looked away with sad eyes. “I know..I understand.” “I’m sorry Ariana..I broke my promise to you..I’ll understand if you hate me.” In a sudden instinct she ran over to Ed and embraced him. “I could never hate you Ed! No matter what you do or say..now can you forgive me for loosing it, and not listening before?” Ed was in shock. How did she know his thoughts? ‘Her dream!’ he looked at her and nodded. “Yeah I can, and Ariana..thanks.” She nodded and turned to Al and hugged him as well. “I know you can’t feel Al, but were going to get your body back!” the three siblings embraced and smiled brightly, and for once Ariana felt like she belonged. Now she knew exactly who she was. Ed felt happy. His sister was back, even though she didn’t remember all the way, they were close, but for some reason he felt that this happy reunion wouldn’t last forever.

Chapter three: Go shorty!
Al gazed at his older brother and sister. Both of them were crashed out after the long chase. It was so strange to him, to see his sister again made him feel happy, but since they had only spoken for a little while, he didn’t know if she was still herself, or someone else now. She had promised that he would get his body back, just like Edward did, but maybe she wasn’t like she used to be. He grinned from the inside. There was only one true way to find out. Ariana stirred in her sleep and barely opened her eyes, when she looked at him and smiled slightly. “Morning Alphonse.” He waved a little. “Morning Ariana.” She stood to her feet slowly. “I’ll be back in a second. I’m going to go get some stuff to eat for Ed and I…hmm..I don’t know why, but I have the strangest feeling that if I were to bring milk back Ed would kill me.” He couldn’t help, but laugh out loud this time. “He’s always hated milk Ari.” She giggled before turning toward the car door, but slammed into the side of it, and fell to her back. “Oh my back..my head..again.” This time he was bursting with laughter. His sister had not changed one bit, in the clumsy compartment anyway. Edward sat up immediately at the sound of a bang. “WHO GOT SHOT!?” He stood to his feet, but ended up tripping over Ariana. “AGH! My BACK!” he couldn’t take it anymore. It’s like he couldn’t breath from all of the laughter. “Oh sure laugh at our pain,” said Ariana, in a teasing tone, as she shoved Ed off of her. Soon the three of them were laughing together. It was just like the old days. No one had changed, even after so many years apart.
“Well, here we are! Central at last!” Ed shot a victory punch into the air, and walked forward with Alphonse and Ariana following. It was good to be back in Central, even though the colonal was there now. There seemed to be a small problem though. Ariana was with Scar, and he’ll Mustang would want to question her, but what could she say? He frowned; he was never good at rethinking something. Maybe going to Central HQ was not such a good thing after all. He looked back at Ariana and found her staring around at all her surroundings. By the look on her face, she had never been too central before. He smiled slightly. He knew she could handle herself, but what if she was asked to take the alchemy exam. Maybe that was a good thing. She wanted to help him and Al get their bodies back, maybe she would see that becoming a state alchemist could help too.
It was huge! Most of her life she had spent in the east part, but this was nothing compared to there! People were busy everywhere you looked, and she couldn’t even begin to count how may stores, and buildings there were. She looked like a five year old seeing the world for the first time. A few people stopped and stared at her for a minute, but their glances kept going from her to Ed, to her. She shrunk back a bit and hid behind Al. “Why are they staring at me?” Ed and Al laughed for a minute. “People used to do this to us all the time back home Ariana. I guess there just not used to seeing twins.” She looked blankly at them like she didn’t understand. “Yeah, I remember that. Back home everyone would stare at you and brother like aliens. Ha, ha.” She smiled slightly, and looked down. Home? What was home? She had been traveling with Scar for so long she didn’t know what it was like to stay in one place, forever. ‘I wonder..if I’ll ever be able to see it..’
Ed and Al looked at her with a confused expression. They exchanged glances, after she stared at the ground for minutes. Ed waved his hand in front of her face. “Hello? You alive?” She looked up at him and smiled widely. “Yeah I’m fine! So, let’s get going!” She ran ahead of them, but stopped. “Um..I don’t know the way, so uh..ha, ha.” Ed and Al’s faces dropped and they ran toward her, dragging her along.
Ed had been staring at Mustang’s office door for over five minutes. To tell the truth he was nervous. What if something went wrong? Ariana had fallen asleep leaning against the wall, tired of waiting fro him to open it. She fell over, and sat up, sitting on the floor. “Ed if you don’t open that door in five seconds I will do it for you!” he looked at her on the corner of his eyes. “Give me a minute here.” She sighed, and shoved him out of the way. “You’ve had more then FIVE minutes to think, or whatever! It doesn’t take science to open a door and..” The door slammed open, knocking her to the floor. “Why me?” she questioned in pain. “What’s with all the yelling out here?” Mustang looked down at the semi-conscious Ariana, and Al who was know asking how many fingers he was holding up to her, and Ed, who was laughing slightly. Ariana stood to her feet, glaring at Ed, who immediately got quiet, and then at Mustang. “Can you be a little more cautious about opening doors here!?” He looked over at Ed, and then, back at Ariana. “This must be her then. The one they call the Winter Rose Alchemist.” She raised an eyebrow at him, and sighed. “Whatever.” Ariana turned from him and crossed her arms. “Well, Fullmetal, you brought her here. Well done, for once.” Before ed could throw some smart comment back at him, he knocked to the ground by one ticked off sister. “ BROUGHT ME HERE!! DOES THAT MEAN YOU LIED TO ME JUST TO BRING ME HERE?” Ed shrieked back and shook his head vigorously side to side. “No Ariana everything Al, and I have told you is true! I swear!” Al was now holding her back, as Ed stood to his feet and glared at Roy. “I’m only here to tell you that Scar got away, but Ariana doesn’t know where he could be, and the only reason she was with him, because he saved her life, because some state alchemist attacked her! You mind explaining with the military is out attacking innocent people?!” To their surprise, Roy himself seemed shocked by this news. Ariana seemed confused at this, but had the sudden impulse to smack someone. But before she could a picture of a little girl was stuck in her face. “ Oh great someone new. See this is my daughter! Isn’t she precious?” Roy turned to the man who had stuck the picture in her face and sighed. “Hughes, don’t torture her with..on second thought go ahead,” he said. “Better her then me.” He continued. Luckily, Al pulled her away, before she could bombarded with pictures. “Well, I guess a little introduction is needed here.” Mustang started, pointing to himself. “I am Lieutenant Colonel Roy Mustang, or the Flame Alchemist, and this is..” Hughes cut in shaking her hand. “I am Major Hughes. Do you baby-sit at all.” She sighed and shook her head. “ As “precious” as your daughter seems, I’m very busy.” Ed, and Al snickered knowing she was just being nice. “Oh that’s alright, but isn’t she?!” Her face dropped. She liked him though. He seemed really. But she couldn’t quite think of anything for Roy. There wasn’t too much she could tell about him. “So what’s your name anyway? You must be a friend of Ed and Al right?” She was quiet for a minute and but her lip. “Well, I’m Ariana…” She looked back at Alphonse, who nodded in encouragement, while Ed smiled a bit. She looked at both of them once more smiling. “I am Ariana Elric. It’s nice to meet you both.” Roy and Hughes’s jaws dropped in shock. They looked at Ed, who nodded in agreement. Edward walked over to Ariana’s side, and put an arm around her shoulder (Don’t go thinking that way people their brother and sister!). “See a resemblance?” The three siblings laughed as Hughes and Roy’s eyes seemed to pop out. “Theres two of them!” Ariana laughed silently. “If she’s your sister, how come we have never met her?” It was Al’s turn to step in. “ She was kidnapped when were kids, and now she doesn’t remember who she is really, or her past, because of a state alchemist attacking her.” Now, it was Ed’s turn. “We just met up yesterday.” They were all quiet for what seemed like forever. “But that won’t last for much longer. Her not remembering I mean.” “Yeah!” Ariana looked at her brothers and smiled sweetly. “Thank you.” The three were then caught in a bone-crushing hug. “Such wondrous news! After so many years of being apart you’re all still close and willing to do anything for your sister!” Ed, and Ariana were gasping for air. “C-can’t…. b-breath!” When they were set free, Ariana and Ed were laying on the floor breathing heavily. Al silently thanked the fact that he was a suit of armor. “ Major Armstrong, it’s good to see you again.” Armstrong nodded in agreement. “You too, now what is this young ladies name again?” She coughed and stood to her feet, almost afraid to go near him. “I’m Ariana Elric.” Roy cut in before anything else could be said. “So, are there any more of you?” Ed, and Al shook their heads no. “Hey! Why are you all standing here? Shouldn’t you all be out celebrating?” They looked at Armstrong with confused expressions. “It’s your birthday!” Ariana raised an eyebrow, while Ed nodded in realization. “That’s right it is!” She looked at him with a “what” look. “It is?” They all fell to their faces and stood. “Wow, Ariana your memory is really messed up!” She smacked him over the head and glared. “Is it my fault that I can’t remember?” Roy disappeared for a moment grinning wickedly. “What’s his problem?’ Ed shrugged. “He’s just being himself.” Al shook his head, already knowing what was up. He had overheard a conversation between Lieutenant Hawkeye and Mustang a few days prior, and knew that it would piss Ed off, but he had to admit it was funny. He stood up straight just realizing something. If you could see him, his face would be deathly white. It wasn’t just Ed now, and the two of them out together, the least thing you wanted to do was anger them.

“Uh..Lietenant Colonel! I don’t think you should.” But it was to late. He came out of his office grinning widely, with a stereo in his arms. Hughes started laughing, while Armstrong, Ed, and Ariana looked confused. “Just wait.” Pressing the pay button, a song began playing.
Go go Go Shorty it’s your birthday
Were gonna party like
It’s your birthday
Roy pressed rewind and played it again, while laughing like a maniac. “I dedicate this song to you both! Happy birthday shorty, or should I say shorties?” He laughed, but stopped looking at the expressions on both of their faces. “WHO ARE YOU CALLING SHORTIES YOU LITTLE…” Hughes covered his ears and laughed. “Watch the language you two!” They turned to him glaring. If looks could kill, he would have died more then once. “SHUT UP!” Hughes backed away from them. “I think you should start running Roy!” “Such violence! Calm down Elirc..ehh..Elrics!” Armstrong held them back before they could do any damage to anyone.
Alphonse was laughing so hard he though he would die. He couldn’t believe it. It was just like watching them all over again five years ago. Nothing had changed. Nothing at all. Everyone was still the same. No matter how different their appearances were now.

Chapter four: So it begins...
"Do you see a town yet?" "No Ed I don't!" They had been traveling for hours and were extreamly bored. 'You just love to piss me off.' For the past half an hour, Ed had been asking random questions like: Are were there yet, or, do you see a town yet?
"Uggh...How much longer until we find one stupid little town?!?" Ed asked. "How the hell should I know? Now shut up!" Ariana was begining to loose all of her paticence, and Ed wasn't helping any. Al was laughing lightly. It was just like his brother to anyone people when he was bored, and for once it wasn't him. "Can you see a town NOW?" Her hands curled into fists. "No Edward...I don't...see...a town...yet..." 'Man, he's asking so many times I could just cry.' She had fake(think fake anime tears) tears running down her face. "...How about now?"
She fell to the ground, faked a laugh. "...W-what did I d-do to deserve th-this?" Ed smirked, and kneeled down beside her, and whispered in her ear. "...See a town yet?" She shot up and glared daggers at him. "I'M GOING YO KILL YOU!!!" She chased him around, while Al laughed. "Should I get some flowers for your grave brother?" He asked laughing some more. Ariana came back dragging Ed by his foot. "...how about now?" Ed asked once more. "...I hate you Ed..." "Yeah, I love you to sis." She sighed. "All right, all right I'll stop. So,....see a town NOW?" She walked over to a tree and began to bang her head. "WHAT..DID..I..DO..TO..DESERVE..THIS?" The two brothers began laughing. "Okay, Ariana, I'll really stop now, but let's keep moving.." "I SEE A TOWN!" Ariana pointed ahead. "Where?!" "Oh my bad. it was just my imagination." "Ha,ha, very funny..you crack me up.." She patted him ontop oh his head. "Just a little payback, bro."
