hey i bought it last night and its a kick ass game. The character creation is really fun along with each characters story that has cutscenes and stuff. siegfried has the best story though (the guy in my sig) and yea im best with mitsurugi and my custom ninja. what r u opionins on this game or any in the series

I've only played a demo of it and made a ninja, but in the old one I used to be talented with Voldo But I can't play him with the way he looks now. ><

voldo = bondage man lol. yea i have my own custom ninja and hes lvl 21 right now and i just got able to weild a sickle with him. before i would use katana and shuriken.

lol a thread was started a long time ago, by me when the game was in development, anyway I have it, beat it, unlocked everything and now it sits on my shelves to collect dust with the other 200 games I have

you already unlocked everything in soul calibur 3? im still on chapter 8 of the on rpg mode (How many chapteres are there?) and ive beaten a few characters storys (nightmare,siegfried,mitsurugi,kilik,and zasalamel) also does nightmare ever turn into that weird beast again (The one at his ending for the story mode if you push guard really fast)

lol I can probably kick all your asses since I have tournament championships under my belt in soul calibur I-III and Soul Blade. Hell I will let you pick my character. (wise info don't select Taki, Talim, Nightmare, Seigfried, Maxi, or Raphel when you select my character)

I never said she couldent beat me in-fact i think she could beat me in that game and i beat you a few times with my custom Ninja and Kilik and few times(i cant believe they took away phoniex thrust) but only a few and when I practiced i was tired >.> and it was mainly with my Ninja

You beat me with your ninja because I had no idea what to do with the theif, not to mention his attacks are WAY too slow. Even then I managed to win a few times with the underhanded tactics of bombs. :D

When I get the game I'm going to practice quite a bit as Voldo and Yoshimitsu. I want to be able to know how to do EVERYTHING in every stance as Voldo, especially bushwacker, that's just a fun move to watch. ;[

yeah i have to practice more as Kilik he was my best character in sould calibur II for GC now i just have to learn the controls in this. . .although i know them pretty well but i have to get the timing and stuff for him and hmm (my ninja XD) and who else ahh i know Zasamel. . .i wanna try with him XD

Complains about the game:

Ivy is supposedly cheap. (Never seen it myself but heard)

Kilik is cheap. (Saw and read many other people point on, even a Kilik player in gamefaqs admitted it.)

I even managed to randomly pick Kilick when I had NEVER played as him before and beat my friend who had happened to be very skilled with the assassin he made with no problem. Final Judgement, Kilick is still for pussies. I read for the previous version he was a newbie character, still is.

All good and effective moves are EASY to pull off.

Katana is fucking cheap. Cheaper than Kilick. (Guilty as charged, I wait until Brian picks and if he picks Kilick or if I feel like pissing him off I use my Katana.)

Graphics really arn't as good as they SHOULD be. Create a Soul is the most elaborate create a character I've seen in non-online games, but still could have been better.

Moves seem focused on Seigfried, Nightmare, and Kilik. I played as Seigfried and my friend had a hard time defending against them oves I were using. No I am not good with Seigfried as a matter of fact it was my second time playing as him, well third.

Unblanaced in some aspects. Damn shame.

I'm just glad the game is still fun, but I enjoy doing stupid stuff more than I do actually trying.

AND OMG BRIAN THEY TOOK AWAY PHOENIX THRUST!?!?!?

NOOOO that was like one of my favorite attacks!! It was one of his long attacks and I love that attack to death!! NOOOOO *dies*

I like Taki though too. Taki's cool and pretty good. Ivy is cheap and always has been cheap. She was cheap in Soul Calibur 2. Her chain/whip is WAY too powerful! And my sister keeps using this one move against me that killed me and it was so cheap cuz you couldn't block it and it reached half way across the room, even if i ducked it somehow got me.

Yeah but i still love Killik! I'd like to make my own character though, that'd be intresting!

lol yes they took away phoneix thrust ¿_¿ that was a good move and it did have a good range but it's ok i use Cyrel with the Soul of Taki and its pretty good ^_^

its true.. killik and ivy are cheap.. also.. its pretty hard if you're porting from xbox/gamecube to ps2.. controls are too different... the custom character creation isn't worth working on unless you have unlocked all the cruddy extras/weapons/skills/jobs .. Sword Masters pwn!.. + dark/evil armor..
yadayadayada.. rant rant rant...

this game should be online.. in fact.. all fighting games should be online.. i'd drool @ the sight of street fighter 2 online! someone should tunnel XD ..

i still like soul calibur 3 considering the fact that i got it for free and will soon complete it! .. and sorry if no one can understand my bs ^.^

omg soul calibur online would be so fucking awesome!! Well lucky me i didn't have to go from gamecube/xbox controls to ps2. I got the 2nd game on ps2 so i already know all the moves and buttons and shit and i'm already used to them! XD

OMg soul calibur online would be the best. I wish they would do that too.
LMAO Hate to say it but all the move controlls are changed it is to give a newbs a chance and no im not actualy making this up. Oh and the fact that alot of the moves were changed now nightmare owns more then ever. :)
