Just post things that are weird about how computers work/run/do things/ whatever
AIM takes longer to install than Photoshop 7 and 3D Studio Max. (aim is 3-5 mb , PS is 50+ and 3DSM is 100+)
Linux distrubutions (the OS itself..) have programs that resemble/ are almost replicas of windows programs (ex. XMMS is an exact replica of Winamp) and include more software pre-installed in Linux. Yet, more people choose windows, so they have to pay for the programs they can get free (And, non-illegaly)
People hack on Macs. (F'n scary too..)

the only real big reason why computer cost alot is because of the microsoft packaging that comes with it. wall mart is now selling computers with linux dristo's such as linspire and debian, reducing the cost of a $500 to only about $100-$150. laptops with the linux OS's go about $300+.
you can still run window's apps on linux. just get an emu. like pearpc. but instead of mac X OS its for windows on linux.

Wine will let you run windows apps on Linux too.

James I bet your some kind of person that runs Red Hat Fedora Core or Mandrake Linux on your computer (the n00b installations)... Mac is nothing you do with, Mac's are only to work on graphics, that is all that Mac's are used for, NOT hacking/cacking son. People write programs in FreeBSD UNIX, Slackware, and other UNIX like Operating Systems. The stuff you say about there are some software that runs windows applications is in Linux is some gibberish... You should learn more and use more then posting junk. The best way to go if you want to run windows applications on Linux is to install Gentoo Linux. It will write programs itself while installing a windows application. The program it writes will open the windows application. But here is ever a better way, Install VRC Minicomputer onto your system. It can run anything you want it too, yes, anything. Both of these are very hard to install and there is a manual for Gentoo Linux on the official website. There is no handbook for VRC Minicomputer installation, only a few written by users. This makes VRC Minicomputer very hard to install. If you need help installing any one of these OS'es just IM me about it. Also, if it would make you feel better, I have Gentoo Linux and Windows on my computer set on dual-boot, and have VRC on my laptop (no dual-boot with windows). Well I hope this helped correct some major mistakes you have been doing. Enjoy!

I've installed 3 Different versions of Linux. So don't take me for an Operating System n00b, cause I'm not. I've installed SuSE, Fedora, and Debian. Just because I don't feel like installing the most difficult one doesn't mean anything. The most recent I've done was a dual-boot with Fedora. Personally, I don't use Linux due to the fact that even though it can have windows applications running on it, I perfer knowing that I have full support and not to mention more support working with windows. That and I'm lazy as hell, and don't feel like doing much, so I use windows.
As for macs, I've worked with Macs for over 5 years. I know what they're capable of.. The only reason I said that hacking comment, was because I was surfing the net and came across a Mac hacking site, and really it was more terrifying than most other hacking sites I've seen. It didn't really mean anything more.
I am getting a new laptop, but I'm getting rid of my Desktop so I'm going to have to stick with windows for a long time till I buy a new computer since I don't want to F' the warranty on it.
And Ck, your now a reg member for that.

I never said that it ment anything, but you would have to know more to know how to install something that difficuly. So as you can see that I was throwing you some tips or helping tips... whatever you wish to call it. I also own a iBook mac and I had it for about 2-3 years, I did all of my GFX work on it and some other stuff such as gaming. Mac is not a hacking OS, there is no such thing as a hacking OS anyway. I am just telling you that MAC is not something people use to bypass. Mac is UNIX (that is a good thing) but it works a lot differant, and it is not flexiable. I went to some huge websites and there where huge poll's and no one uses Mac's for anything besides GFX and movie editing. Your going to have to learn this now or stay slow forever. I hate to call you rude names but I think this is the only way to get into your head. I can also provide you with facts but I think you would not want to read it all because it is a long list and you might not understand all of it. So this is why I am telling you simply here what is true and false. Now Aabout you setting up fedora core in dual boot... well that is simple because it does it for you. Now You don't have to only use windows because this is why there is dual-boot, you can use up to 3 differant OS'es with dual boot (I used too...). So that is kind of a good idea. But if you like mac and you just want something differant, you can always try FreeBSD because it is the same.. but it just hase some few fexiable more powerful differances. I love macs too because of their hot looks butlooks are not all ways the point of everything. Because there is nothing for macs really that allows you to go behind anything, this is becaus as I said,,, macs are for GFX nothing else... now that we have this all clear I hope you learned something from this. And I think the best OS for you to start out with is Mandrake... it will help you a lot and have a nice KDE look which will make you feel like your on a mac. Also I just figured something out. What your saying by mac hacking is really, I hack my Mac. And that is a book and it tells you how to reach and change commands in the nutshell. They have a book about this and that is found on orieally.com or something like that. PHEF... well I guess thats all I have to say... if you have more wounders just tell me. I also know there are many spelling errors in this and this is because I kind of don't care.. Take care.! Also I think that cKnapp can speak his opinion because he is human too, so I don't think that he should be a red member for that. I think he should go beond Admin because of that because he atleast spoke a opinion without understanding anything mostlikely... lol

I didn't learn anything, since I got lost in your long paragraph of DOOM. That, and I either know all that, don't care to know that, or am not in the mood right now to learn that. Basically, I know all that. I'm not a computer nerd, as would be some other people comared to me. I'm a Gamer, I do other stuff with computers, but what I learn is what I inquire for me to do somethings, other things I learn when I can and the rest I don't really give a hoot. Really, all you where saying is that Macs or for graphics. You need to learn this. Macs are for graphics.
I don't really care about macs, nor do I care about running UNIX, windows applications on Linux/Unix or the error of my so called knowledge. What I know is what I care about.. If I learn things I don't want to, i'll become unstable and possibly explode.

You don't know the facts, I was not it seems that you have something in your head that keeps making you think that your better then everyone else. Well guess what son, your not. You don't really know the rights, I was telling you the rights but you have just been passing out fales information. No wounder people end up stupid these days because of people just like you. I read a book once, about people like you. It says that people like you will destroy the world with their idiotic fales statements. Well now I know that this is true so I try to fight against it, so the stupid or idioticness (whatever you call it) does not spred. Also, it is not my fualt that you can't read... get a 4th or 5th grader book and read it, I think you need it... bad. Now To finish off this topic. Since I have proven the fatcs here and proven that ur a bluff... we can end this. Anything next out of you is a idiot, or something worse. If you need anymore real information don't mind PM'ing me about it. Now you can go get your ice cram and suck on it and cry. COUGH *n00b* COUGH...

Well guess what son (Im not your son, moron.), your not. You don't really know the rights, I was telling you the rights (Try to use different words, other than the same words over again. I believe you learn this in 5th-6th grade) but you have just been passing out fales information. No wounder people end up stupid these days because of people just like you. I read a book once (Highly doubtful), about people like you. Learn how to spell, and please shut up. You're getting so annoying. You want to talk about you hate idiots, and they're going to make the whole world dumb, blah blah blah.
You know why I couldn't read what you wrote? I didn't make sense. It was like banging my head on the wall. You made so many errors, for fucking crying out loud, shit you learn in 5th grade. Then re-learn in High School. So obviously you're an idiot.. And I highly doubt you read any book, or even know how.
By the fucking way, its *Cough* Noob *Cough*. Noob
