I read about this a few days ago... It will end up like Sony with their DualShock that they were sued for. Either they will pay some amount of money to the plaintiff or pay a royalty on each unit sold.

In the end, lawyers win.

Aren't the nintendo and microsoft stuff copywrighted and stuff? I'm not reallly sure what they're being sued for.

Microsoft and Nintendo, if they DID patent their controllers, they most likely did it in a way that the entire controller is patented, the way the technologies within work together. I would think that is how they would do it.

This company says that they held patents for similar technology as what is used in these controllers prior to these controllers being created.

That is my understanding, in which case the plaintiff wouldn't have much of a case. It must be something more than that, however I really don't see how Microsoft or Nintendo could have patented these things, as they would have not gone through had they infringed on other patents.

Oh I really hate those kinds of people, sometimes I wanna kick them right in the arse for being so insensitive and greedy D=

But thinking that nintendo and stuff makes millions of dollars every year, you'd think they'd hire a good lawyer?
