PS Price Dropped !!!!!

Seems like Sony may not be as confident in their PS3 as before. They have dropped the Japan launch price to US$425.

The thing is why??? There will only be 100k PS units available in Japan at launch so sony could price them at US$1000 and they would still out.

It has to be noted that Microsoft announced that they will be dropping the price of the 360, so it might have something to do with the price drop

They are still bowing to North America's feet by sending 400,000 units to us, as opposed to Japan's tiny 100,000

Still seems a bit pricey either way, Sony has to think about who they're marketing to. Most of the hardcore gamers don't have that kind of cash to blow.
