Without playing it...

Final Fantasy XII is a good game, however as simply another part of an overhyped series, any innovation seems to be hated by fans, who want to play the same game over and over, just with different graphics and characters.

the graphics are great! I'll say that. It's a good game so far however it's not what is expected from ff. The whole walking around battle system is all right and the quickening(something like an overdrive that usses your entire mp gauge) ability is a somewhat plus.

The lisence board is kind of..ehh..could live with out it. It's like the sphere grid thing on ffX but when you learn the ability you have to go and buy it. they're not cheap. XD same goes with the weapons. you can't use them unless you unlocked it on the lisence board then go and buy it. -_____-

It is adicting to play though. when you first start playing as the main character it's not that great however it does get a little better through the hours. The graphics are awesome though. even in game mode

it sounds like how some people were going on about FFVII about the materia system. it was a bitch, but the whole game rocked ass. besides gameplay, what about story?

It's a Final Fantasy game, the two (nvm it's three) things that have been keeping the series alive are good graphics, fan-boys/fan-girls, and the storyline.

What everyones thoughts on this game?

Personally, I thought it was going to be better. The whole battle system was different, and the plot line was WAY different then what ff games are usually like. It was ok. I still haven't beaten it yet so it may get better but I know that it could have been better.

Ah well, can't all be good I guess. XD
It dosnt feel like a final fantasy, feels like .hack with hd graphics

any way the game is kinda slow, not to big of a fan of the new battle system, but over all im enjoying the game, i waited 4 years for it so im gonna make it last

the battle system in ffxii is the same as in 10 and 11. Only difference is everything is in free roam mode meaning you can basically do what you want go where you want like 11. As for the story line... I'd say it's pretty shitty since most rpg games now follow the same story line which is getting redundent(spelling). As for the game play I enjoy it since I've been addicted and still addicted to 11.

Has anyone had trouble getting to the Party Menu. Im about 4 half hours into the game ( The Barheim Passage ) and I still cant access the Party Menu thru the triangle button. Just curious if its just my console or my controller or if its just the timing in the game.

it's your controller since I'm way past the Barheim passage and during it I had no problem checking my members and using liscence points after fights.

i aint played the game yet....... but lookin at the game the characters dont interest me .... as for the storyline i think square enix is runnning out of ideas....

but for me, after 7 and 10 my expectations were pretty high for this game. very dissapointed

That would of been sick..... i dont have a wii yet, due to lack of finaces.
I need a ipod stero in my car before a wii anyway wich i already bought, and a new laptop and abunch of other crap.

I think the game is cool thus far... (I'm in the tomb of Rathwa (sp?) - haven't played in a week and a half or so) I haven't played FFXI (gasp, last game played was X-2 T_T) but I think the battle system changes are great... though I hate the fact that even if a GUEST falls they cannot be taken out of the roster nor when they are alive by the same token which makes no sense in the former and makes me sad in the latter.

I think Vaan is a bit odd.. I don't like his clothes nor his attitude or anything else for that matter... but I tolerate his existance cause I gave him a cool sword and he pwns with it. Though seriously *stabs*

I think Ashe is like Yuna's cousin... I can understand that Yuna was EXTREMELY popular (the whole premise of X-2 was to satisfy demand by the female/hardcore-fanboy base) but come on put her to rest already.

The others are cool, no complaints thus far..

I will definately allot time to beating this game, but I'm already looking forward to FFXIII.

and xiii will rock, looks like a ampd version of the last tomb raider thou.

Well tho it is harder to buy now...
but use Ebay ! lol
cos retailers sell it high price since its a rare game... to be found in retailers and they kno it famous some1 bound to buy it...

FFT was easy!!!
tho it was fun but pretty lame in the end...

Most Final Fantasy endings tend to suck bad anyway.

i herd once they were gonna make a ffx movie..
but X-2 was such a rubbish game to make X-3 is like alredy sayin r u stupid....
they shuld make a complete game just for blitzball but not in the statistic terms like more like the football type... with the barging and so... it be so fun

I've played it for about 15 hours so far and I like it. The graphics are really good but its just.. I honestly think its kinda tough. Maybe I really messed up my stat checkerboard thing because I got a lot of the weapon things because I was curious what the ninja swords were =O. Well yes.. I'm on the stupid Elder Wyrm thing and it keeps kicking my ass. I really... despise training..

Well I honestly don't think the character design had anything to do with it. In my opinion Fantasy can be whatever. Whether its steel and magic or your crazy guns... and more guns? Yes. Even though... the main character was a monkey person... the ending still kicked major ass.

The only character.. that was lame to me was.. Kuja. I mean honestly... I thought he was a girl until like the second disc.
